First impression brought me in due to being pet friendly. Then i discovered they're in the Guinness book of world records due to having the largest collection of beer cans in the world. I walked in and it was like a museum with all the collectibles and memorabilia and arcade games etc. I was greeted by a friendly young host. It was quite cold outside but they had a table right next to a warm fireplace where i was seated. Not only were the staff friendly but also so were the other customers, many of whom also had dogs which were also well behaved like mine so already i felt at home. I had a hamburger with garlic fries. I asked for medium rare and it came as more medium so it was close enough and was still fantastic. The garlic fries however weren't so great. They were dry with almost no taste aside of the garlic sauce that it seemed they just dumped a couple spoons on top but they weren't horrible either. I give the fries a 3 but the entire experience pushes them up to a 5 because the place was awesome. It's obviously a tourist attraction and a high end restaurant so you'd expect very high prices. Yes the prices weren't dirt cheap but surprisingly they were comparable to similar places of similar style foods etc. Maybe a couple bucks more here and there but they were reasonable for a place of that nature. Not a place I could afford to eat daily but still fair priced and well worth popping in from time to time. My biggest disappointment is how early they close. I understand it's a small town so they may not have enough business to support a night crowd. They do stay open an hour later on Friday and Saturday but 10:00 PM is still an early night. They offer karaoke those nights and it's a great opportunity for kids to get their shot at singing as well so the earlier night works out in that case as most karaoke bars don't even allow kids at all and similar restaurants usually start karaoke after they stop serving food which kids have to leave by then so this is a very family oriented establishment. That along with being pet friendly probably gives them all the business they can handle. I showed up for karaoke the next night as they didn't have it for my first visit. The host Jeff was super cool had a great song selection also. There was a mix of kids and adults singing karaoke and everyone seemed to love my dog also. The entire crowd was friendly and in good spirits and even the bartender who was also friendly, she got up and sang too. I'm definitely going to make trips back to Half Moon Bay to visit this place. I hope my experiences will be as positive. For now this place gets 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all...

This place is a sight to see while in the area, this was our first visit to Half Moon Bay and to Cameron’s Pub, the restaurant is full of wonderful eye catching pictures, memorabilia and fun knick knacks. The service was good, we did feel bad for the waitress there she was running back and fourth inside and out with little to no help from anyone else, it wasn’t busy when we got there for lunch today, but started picking up and she was just running back and fourth. Nevertheless she was super friendlt and upbeat even though she was working her tail off. We had the Sampler appetizer and a couple beer , Boddington’s for me and my husband had the One Eyed Shut IPA to start with. We sat back and took our time checking out the huge menu and the story of this quirky place which is really neat and something we always enjoy when visiting new places. The menu by the way is so great, I loved the illustrations and extra detail put into their menu, it was great to look at. For our meals I had the English Pastie that came with a choice of salad or potato I chose mashed potatoes and it also came with a couple rolls. My husband had the New Englad Seafood Bake and he chose a baked potato. Our food tasted really good, the flavor was there and not under/over salted, just right. We did enjoy this place and the food, the reason we’re rating so low is because the lack of help this poor waitress had/has. To our surprise we did see Cameron there while we were dining and he seemed unfriendly and offered no help to this poor woman serving everyone. You would think someone who is so famour for this restaurant and being popular in the are would make his way rounds to everyone in his place, but nothing. Not even a friendly hello. But even though we’re rating so low its not towards our waitress she was great, on top of everyone and doing everything. We appreciate the friendliness from her and the great...

WARNING:

Charged our card $70 for a $35 meal+tip and when I called the establishment about it the lady I spoke with was acting strange. She said she would not let me speak to the owner and that she was the one who dealt with this supposedly. She then proceeded to ask for my number to send the charge docs to.

After I requested it via email, she said she could only do it through text. After complying (although hesitant) she never responded to the texts in a timely manner after texting multiple times. She said she would let the book keeper know but would not give me her name or number to directly contact the book keeper.

After no response back from her and the charge still wasn't dealt with I took it to the banks hands and disputed the charge. The charges were still not refunded through the company. So disappointing.

Wrote a review on google and another manager reached out to me for the first review. After speaking with the manager Jeff to resolve the dispute, was able to get the charge refunded. Thank you Jeff for clearing this issue up. I hope you are able to resolve the issue internally with the employee who did this so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Thought this was going to be a fun place to grab a bite to eat but sadly we won’t be going to this place again. I warn anyone reading this review to not shrug it off and hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Only giving another star due to the issue being resolved in a timely...

Fun, kitschy joint in Half Moon Bay with warm service and lots of fried options. Would definitely recommend trying Cameron’s to round off a visit to Half Moon. The decor is all about MAXIMALISM — think Chilis/Applebees/Cracker Barrel style but with a decidedly British take, innit. Fish and chips is the clear classic here. The London Tower of onion rings was a fun way to start the meal, and the extensive beer menu was just what we were hoping for from a British pub. Be prepared for a bit of heartburn after the meal — it’s fried pub food, after all — but the plentiful parking out front means you don’t have a long walk from the table to the car. The real highlight, however, was our server — she was a local schoolteacher in Half Moon Bay and went out of her way to help us feel welcomed and celebrate our weekend vacation in her town. We made sure to leave a nice tip; so glad to see a local place keep the lifeblood of the community flowing!

One of my favorite stops while driving in CA. Cameron's Pub delivers consistently good comfort food in a fun, warm environment. Maybe part of this is due to coming in from the cold, wet, foggy weather so often, but I've never left feeling anything other than warm and fuzzy. Drink: get a milkshake. Seriously. Food: Standard pub fare, plus great British classics. Highly recommend the Bangers & Mash and Curry Chicken. Atmosphere: You'll spend most of your first trip here starting at the walls, ceiling, and everywhere else in order to take in all of the tchotchkes. Grab some Trivial Pursuit cards and quiz your friends with 1970s questions. This will become your favorite pub in the area. Trust me.
