Overall the food was pricey but decent. Anything that was battered, like the fried pickles/squash/chicken, lacked a lot of flavor from the bland batter. A little black pepper in the batter would help. The ranch was really good and the chicken salad was good. However, only 5 slices of fried squash as a side substitute for an extra $3 was not worth it since the batter wasn't great. I will go back one day if they're open at the same time I'm in Hallsville, but since they aren't open for dinner it will probably...

You will love this place! We had chicken fried steak, smothered pork chop, cornbread hot enough to melt butter, mashed potatos & gravy, squash & zucchini casserole, salad with homemade ranch dressing, and ice tea. Everything was delicious and served at the right temperature. The pork chop was fork tender and the ranch dressing is the best we’ve ever tasted. Miss Minnie's Cafe is the place for a truly hometown feel - no matter where you're from, we're family inside. I usually go in the mornings, having eggs over easy, tasty, thick bacon, grits, and the most golden, crispy edged pancakes I've ever had. Miss Minnie's short on the "huh," but abundant with sass and salsa (actually, not sure about salsa, but you gist). You'll eat well, share some laughs, and be treated like family (maybe family reunion family, but...
