Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Haltom City

When I pulled up to the restaurant I parked right up front by the door. When parked I witness one of the two employees working that shift taking out the trash, handling a huge pile full of trash bags, and some not closed so had to be tied shut, WITH NO GLOVES ON! As I watched this guy, manhandle all the trash to the dumpster with no gloves on I started to question if I was sure about eating there. I’m a person who doesn’t like to judge a book by the cover, so I still went inside hoping maybe he would wash his hands before he returned behind the counter. Once inside there was another employee handling the food and again, to surprise, SHE WAS NOT WEARING GLOVES! That’s when I started to really debate eating any food, and then the man walked back inside. We walked straight from the dumpster”, behind the counter, and immediately grabbed tongs and started handling food, didn’t go to restroom or wash hands in kitchen, still with no gloves on, with just hands dirty straight from the trash outside, along side the second employee also handling food with no gloves, and to top it off, neither one of them even said hello. No welcome to churches or how may I help you or nothing. I had to walk out and leave in pure disgust. I’m afraid to eat this churches food with this poor quality of staffing. Most likely getting the community sick by mishandling proper food handling procedures. It’s one thing to not even welcome a guest, but to also mistreat the very thing your selling is wrong. Not to mention how many legal issues is wrong with not handling food properly. I would like to give this place a second chance, hopefully you can get your team on point. I recommend that you don’t go to this churches. It’s not because of the poor manager because my God I know she’s in there working hard, it’s because of the rude employees that she has employed for her. I wasn’t going to say anything but because she was so rude to me I just have to get this off my chest. Firstly when I was at the drive-through she was very rude she was not very open to answering my questions she claimed that they didn’t have certain things on the menu that I know that they did. She ended up later coming back and had to correct herself about the things that they have on the menu. After that when I got to the window she was still rude to me while she was taking my money. She was very reluctant to give me military discount as if I was lying about the five years of service that I’ve done . Then when I asked her for her manager as I was speaking to her manager about how poorly she behaves she walked off with the attitude comes to talking trash with one of the other employees. As I sat out the window I watched her go back-and-forth about their feelings on me reporting her to her manager. Not to mention they had a long fingernails and no gloves on which is against several of the health rules in restaurants. Newsflash sweetheart bacteria hides under those long acrylic nails and it gets into peoples food and gets them sick.No hairnet. And bad attitudes. I would just go to another churches. horrible!!!! never will eat here again!! first i asked for thighs and legs i paid 38 and some change. i had to wait 12 minutes for my chicken they asked me if wings would be okay i said i don't eat wing so no thank you. so after waiting 12 minutes for my chicken i drive 15 min home look in my box and all i received was wings!! so drive all the way back wasting gas and ask for my money back and the correct order and was told you can have your money back and no chicken or we can replace with the correct chicken and not get your money back. so we waited for them to replace the order.( The chicken that we brought back we put on hands on looking inside the box for legs and thighs they put it back under there heat lamps..disgusting) by the time i got home and tried the chicken is was cold and mushy.very disappointed!!!...
