Edit: 2nd Review, DON'T ORDER TAKEOUT FROM THIS LOCATION! I ordered at 6:19 through the "preferred" method listed on the website and was given a time to pick it up of 7:07. Quite a long time but the restaurant is only 5 minutes away and I left early to pick up my order expecting to wait. I got there a few minutes before 7 and was told to go to the bar to get my order. The bartender asked my name but could not hear me since the restaurant was so loud and after the 2nd time, I finally yelled my name. She walked off and picked up an order that was sitting by the cash register and slammed it on the bar in front of me and walked off again. If you can't hear someone, don't take offense if they have to yell a response to you. Now as far as the food goes, I got home and the steak was overcooked and cold and even the baked potato was lukewarm so who knows how long it was sitting by the cash register waiting when it was not supposed to be ready until 7:07. I called the manager immediately but you can only leave a message and I did. No response that night but I did get a call the next day and he apologized and stated he would send me some coupons for the next time I am at their restaurant. We will see if I get them and if they are enough to cover the cost of the horrible and cold meal I picked up.
Great steaks but restaurant issues. Second time here and the hostesses are terrible. They do not know how to correctly estimate table wait time and when seats are open, don't seat them. That looks bad on a restaurant. Even worse when they seat the same waitress 3-4 tables in a row is pretty ridiculous. First time, the head hostess got mustard on her pants and disappeared for 15 minutes and left the back up host to seat tables and he was completely clueless. He kept meandering around calling the same people he had already sat previously. Needless to say while the first was cleaning her pants off, the restaurant emptied and no one was sat for 15 minutes. By the time we were sat, they ran out of candied bacon and smoked sirloin. We were given a free appetizer card for our next visit as consolation for all the trouble. Fast forward to this visit, used the call ahead seating option and was told that the wait was about 30 minutes. We got there in 20 and were then told we had another 30 minute wait. It took another 40 so in all from the call ahead, a full hour of wait time. We asked for the same waitress as previous visit who is very good. This time, another waiter took our food off the line and served it to his table so they had to put in another order for our food. Our waitress made him come apologize to us since it was a very long wait for us to eat. While our waitress is good and the food tastes good, there are some serious restaurant issues here starting at the front with the snippy attitude host staff. Two visits and this many issues is not a one time mistake. Gave it three stars for the food and our particular waitress. Read moreI’ve been regularly going to this location for quite some time now. I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel it is necessary this time around. The food was good as always, technically not what we had ordered but still good, the atmosphere is always great. Every other time we’ve eaten here the service has been impeccable. This time around not so much. The man who was taking care of us was named Johnny, John, or Jacob or something around those lines. He was speaking with a British dialect, had hair that was quite long, and overall a poor attitude. We were eating at about 2:30 ish due to visiting my brother in the hospital during the early hours of the day. When we sat down it felt as if he was rushing us to order. When we ordered water he said something about how “Water will not pay his bills but alright.” It took him about six minutes to bring out our drinks and bread. We’d received our water and at that point a sweet tea and a Dr Pepper because we had felt bad. The Dr Pepper tasted pretty weird. He then kept trying to get us to order dinner dishes when we had told him we were looking to order off of the lunch menu. This was on a weekday at 2:30 so the lunch menu was in effect for another hour and a half. We ended up ordering the lunch pork chops and the lunch 6 oz smoked sirloin with 2 salads. One with ranch and one with blue cheese. We also ordered mac and cheese and green beans as our side dishes. The food was good but here’s my problem: He ended up bringing us out a dinner portion of pork chops and the 12 oz portion of smoked sirloin. My salad in which I ordered just blue cheese dressing on also came out with blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and eggs. My wife’s salad also had bacon and eggs. We didn’t think much of it until it was time to pay. When we finally finished eating our food and paid we had realized what had happened due to the receipt on his hand held device. We didn’t say anything and instead paid the bill in full. Overall a pretty interesting experience to say the least. Our food was good as always. It just wasn’t what we ordered or expected to pay for. To end the series of complaints I would like to finish off by saying we did tip him 22% and we hope whatever that young man is going through gets resolved soon. Read moreVisiting family in Texas a week ago and we chose Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House for a nice family dinner out for 4 adults and 2 well-behaved kids. We were seated promptly and our drink and food orders were taken pretty quickly. That's where the good service ended. The food wasn't delivered by our waiter, but only 3 meals were delivered initially and 2 more brought out within another few minutes. Of the 5 meals delivered, 3 were incorrect - either the wrong side, a potato that should have only had sour cream and cheese was loaded up with everything, or the wrong size or cut of meat. The 6th meal wasn't delivered. We waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come out to check on things and he only came out of the kitchen to handle other tables. I finally got up and went to the kitchen door and waited for him to acknowledge me. When he came up to me he was clearly annoyed I was coming to the kitchen looking for him. I explained the situation and he said he'd be out to the table in a few minutes. He didn't come out. About 10 minutes later, a manager comes out to see what's going on and we explain it to her. She left to get a note pad and came back to write the orders with all the details down. Another 20 minutes goes by and plates are delivered. This time 2 of the meals are still not correct (wrong cut of meat and wrong toppings on the potato) and the manager nor the waiter came back by to check status. I had to go find the manager again to get the situation corrected. This time the steak was delivered rare instead of medium rare, but, by that point, the family member gave up and ate the outside of it that was more medium rare. What should have been a wonderful family dinner turned out to be a cluster and not a fun time. While 3 of the meals were comped at the end, it didn't make up for the disappointing time. In fact, the entire hour and a half (maybe more) we were there, he worked really hard to avoid our table. The manager also failed on the follow-up. If we ever visit Fort Worth again, we'll find...
