My Aunt who is 88 years of age was advised by the manager that they were not delivered to her home anymore on Friday, March 18, 2022. She has been a faithful customer placing orders frequently on Fridays from Amari's for over a year. She has called them to provide feedback on several occasions regarding her orders not being correct. There have been missing items or the pizza may have been overcooked.
She orders two pizzas when placing an order. One for her to be cooked normally and one for her sister who is of 90 years of age to be cooked lightly (no brown on the bottom) who can only eat a soft pizza because of an oral medical condition and can not eat the margarita pizza she loves if it's overcooked. I think it is very unprofessional for the girl who answered the phone and advised my Aunt that they are not delivering to her address submitted by the manager.
My aunt asked to speak to the manager. The manager spoke to my Aunt in Spanish and advised that they were not delivered to her address anymore because she calls to complain about the orders. My elderly Aunt hung up the phone and cried and felt ashamed how she was addressed by the manager without any empathy or concern for her. I have over 20 years of experience in the Customer Service space and this really is unfortunate and unacceptable customer service, especially from management.
Here are some simple steps how to respond to customer complaints at your restaurant:
Listen with an open mind. Hear what the person has to say without prejudging the situation. Repeat the problem back. Empathize and assure that something will be done. Follow...
Read moreWe dined out on the patio which is well done and not a thrown together tent like many others are doing amid the Covid pandemic. They have sturdy, ornate metal tables and chairs with umbrellas and sun shade sails over all of that. A well done tropical mural and a medium sized water feature Citronella candles going and even a bottle of OFF available just in case (we arrived after sun down). The service was prompt and very friendly. The food was truly delicious and came out in very large portions. (Nearly all of our party of 7 took home to-go boxes). They have gluten free options for pasta as well. The prices were average which left us feeling like we had gotten a bargain. They are BYOB too.
We had two calamari appetizers, 7 meals, 5 salads, 1 soup, 1 pizza and 7 waters with the wine we brought. They also provided two baskets of warm bread, a bucket of ice for our wine and our bill was $142.($20 per person essentially) Not bad at all for a great evening out for 7 people. Overall, very nice....
Read moreVery Disappointed. We have never eaten here before today (August 2023). Ordered a variety of items to try. Mozzarella sticks, margarita pie, ravioli (with side soup), and a Buffalo chicken cheese steak sandwich. Pizza crust was off - felt stale. Sauce on pie was just ok. Mozzarella sticks were undercooked and raw batter was inside. The soup had a black short hair in it. (None of us have black hair, so it was not from us). The Buffalo chicken cheesesteak was a regular cheesesteak. Checked the receipt and it shows “ckn cheese steak” so not sure what happened there… but it seemed to be in line with the rest of the items we ordered… not right/not good. The ravioli was the only part of the meal that’s was decent. Was hoping to like it, will never go back....
