Eet Gud Bakery — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

I've had cakes made here before that were pristine and beautiful. The cakes tasted good but this cake for my sons birthday was not what we were expecting for the price. (We added the happy birthday banner, the tent, the big ONE, and the Lion ourselves) we went in a showed the baker the cake we wanted, and I expected to get that. The cake was nice but honestly the details looked like a child did it for as much as we paid. The polkadots were colored balls that were squished down showing the white inside. The bunting flags were cut jagged in some places. The white "string" holding the flags was piped on extremely sloppy and even the red balls attached to the white string was crushed on with someone's finger I'm assuming, sloppy. GAVIN in the middle was shaky and the white dots around it were just piped on there without care. Looked like not alot of care was put into the cake at all. I was expecting what we showed the Baker when we ordered. It's disappointing because we have had cakes done before and they were beautifully made. This one however was nice, but again just looked childishly made and not alot of care. Don't know if will be back to try again for a detailed cake like this. Maybe someone was having an off day, I'm not sure... but the taste of the cake was...

so so disappointed in them. i called them 2 weeks before my birthday and they said they would be able to do my cake. i emailed them the order and they said they would get back to me if anything. i waited 3-4 days for a response. i got none back. i called them back and they told me that they sent me an email. i checked my email continuously ever since i placed the order and i got NO responses. so when i told them i didn’t get the email, they told me over the phone that it didn’t go through. they told me at the last minute that they wouldn’t be able to do the cake because they were “too busy.” but if you guys were too busy, why would you guys tell me that you were able to make the cake in the first place? why couldn’t you tell me at that moment when i called that you...

When I was growing up I went to this bakery, It was different owners then and Very Very Good donuts, cakes, etc. It's been a while since I've been there, I recently stopped there and bought what I always buy, long John donuts vanilla cream and tried a chocolate cream...they were good except I remember them being bigger then they are now. I bought some kaiser rolls and torpedo's that were awesome! Can't get them like that where I live. All in all this bakery still feels the same when you walk in the door, like you're visiting good friends and I like places that greet you when you walk in the door.
