My wife and I have been ordering sushi here for a year or so. Most of the time everything is okay; the food is decent. The problem typically is the poor experience with the young lady answering the phone. Orders aren’t taken correctly, and the level of courtesy/professionalism is poor. She acts as though taking an order is putting her out of her way, no cost totals are ever given, and most responses are short or curt. This is all aside from my, and my wife’s, opinion that this job is being done by a minor.
If you are ordering from their menu, don’t bother using the letter and number references shown. Typically, at most Asian food restraunts, you can ask for D1, or B4 and get the corresponding menu item. The aforementioned young lady does not know any of these, nor do any of the other staff apparently so she asks for you to just tell her what you want. This brings me to my reason for writing this review. My wife ordered for the both of us. We asked for a sushi entree with specific pieces of nigiri, and she ordered two rolls. When she arrived to pick up the food she was told it would be $90! She immediately questioned this total (remember, no total given over the phone) and was told that they had already made the food and she needed to pay for it. Feeling pressured, she did pay for it and brought it all home: 10 rolls and a sushi entree.
This is the worst case of an order being taken incorrectly I have witnessed since we began purchasing food here. The order is taken incorrectly over the phone and the staff make what is on the ticket. Had the menu reference we offered been allowed this entire problem could have been avoided. Not to mention if a business makes a mistake, why in the world would you force the mistake to be shouldered by the customer?
The food is good, but you run the risk of not getting what you asked for. You might even get more than you asked for, but don’t expect to get out of paying for it. I recommend going elsewhere as basic order taking seems to be problematic here. If you cannot get this correct, what is the point in...
Read moreA relative recommended this restaurant, and even though there are three other Chinese restaurants closer to where I live, I decided to give them a try. Well, it was was well worth the extra drive. Order was 100% correct, and ready when i walked in the door. Staff was friendly and helpful. But the best part was when i got home, the food was delicious! Especially the egg rolls, which are the best I have had in years. Good size, full of flavor, cooked perfectly. The house mustard and duck sauce (not the little packs) are well worth the slight extra charge. Portions were HUGE and every container was filled to the max. Prices were very reasonable for the portion size and quality. This will be my "go to" place from now on.. highly...
Read moreWe love this place, for food. Great taste, good portions. We had carryout order. We opted for noodles instead of white rice. But they gave us white rice, which we realized upon bringing back to Reisterstown. So that was disappointing. Likewise we specifically asked for small size Orange chicken when placed order. Yet when we picked up they charged for large instead. When asked they said they only have one size. They could have told us when we placed order. Other than that, we like their food. We drive 20 plus minutes each way to get it. Definitely recommended for food tase, portion...
