This place exceeded my expectations! On a (wine-fueled) whim, my friend and I booked an igloo for last Friday afternoon. We had an awesome time!

The place is a little inconspicuous from the front/outside, until you see the igloos. We got there about 10 minutes prior to our reservation to do a tasting. Note: you should allow at least half an hour for wine-tasting if you plan on doing this before an igloo reservation. The cost for a tasting is only $5 for 4 wines, and they will waive this cost if you buy 2 or more bottles of wine.

The inside was much bigger than I expected from looking at the outside. Although it’s not a true “cave”, they did a great job in making it feel like one. There are little areas for some privacy, a cute waterfall, and a whole separate room. There are tons of little touches and decorative additions that just make this place so lovely!

The bartender, Jen was great. It was nice chatting with her and we appreciated her sharing information and her opinions on the different wines. I am not super well-versed in wines, but they had a decent selection available including reds, whites, dry, sparking, mulled, and even slushed. Bottle prices are very reasonable. They make their own cider and have some beer options on the menu, as well. We purchased a bottle of the Bella Red to start with and some snacks and headed out to the igloo.

They have two igloos outside and you can reserve them online for $30/2 hours. This doesn't count towards food/beverage purchase, but it is well worth it. There is room for 8 and blankets and a heater inside. It was around 35* that day, and we were comfortable inside without needing hats or gloves or blankets. We very much enjoyed the hummus plate and bread with oil as a snack. It was more food than the two of us could eat.

Between the ambiance and décor, service, and wine of course, I was very impressed and we both had a great time. I look forward to returning...

I gave them 1 star for a very specific reason. Let me start this by saying I own a local small business and brought large groups of customers and friends to this place often. The food is great. Wine is good. Business practice deserves less than one star. I made a reservation for an igloo in January. The night our group was planning to use the igloo we received a call from the wine cave asking if we want to reschedule due to freezing temperatures. It was very very cold that night. Our group didn’t want to reschedule but chose to be moved inside. I understand that under normal circumstances we would not receive a refund for this cancellation due to weather. BUT my group was still coming! We didn’t want reschedule our party. We spent over $400 that night and the owners still refused to even offer us compensation for not being able to use the igloo that night. I called MULTIPLE times to try and talk this out with management AND NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A CALL BACK! They won’t even discuss or negotiate this with me. Unfortunately I will never do business...

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Bella Terra Vineyards Wine Cave restaurant with my mom, and it was such a great experience! The atmosphere was so nice. It really did look like a cave inside, and the starry night ceiling added a charming touch.

We decided on a wine flight without food at first, and our waitress was awesome, helping us pick some amazing samples. The food was delicious! We were really impressed with everything.

The service was fantastic too. Our waitress even asked if I wanted to request some music and played Chappell Roan. After our meal, we walked around outside, enjoying the cute walkway and scenery. We also checked out the antique shop and found a really unique painting of Jesus with a halo and a blue starry background. He almost looked like an alien. It was such a reasonably priced, cool and rare find! Most Jesus paintings are pretty traditional but this one totally stood out. The lady working there was super nice and helpful.

I would love to come back to this restaurant for a date one day. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly...

4.5 stars. Hartwood Wine Cave is a restaurant that offers a selection of locally produced red, white, and rose wines as well as some ciders, cocktails, and beers and some foods such as pastas and pizzas. I reserved an outdoor igloo tent for $40. The weather outside was very cold, but the interior of the igloo felt warm. The igloo had seating for up to eight people. While my husband and I waited for our food to be cooked, we roasted marshmallows over an outdoor fire pit to make s’mores. Minutes later, our server accidentally took our food to another costumers’ igloo, but that customer brought the food over to us. Our favorite foods were the spinach and artichoke dip with flatbread and the shrimp diavola. My husband thought that his ricotta and meatball pizza tasted OK. He commented that the food was overpriced, but he really enjoyed the fun and unique experience inside the igloo.

First time here. We had a girls' day out and decided to experience the Igloo. We made the reservation in advance, and it reserves your time in the igloo for 2 hours. The main winery/restaurant is unique and welcoming. Staff led us outside to our reserved igloo. It was 22° this afternoon, and although it was a bit chilly at times when the "door" to the igloo was opened, it was warm and comfortable the rest of the time. Staff were friendly and prompt. To start, I chose a wine flight, which consisted of 4 wines. We shared their Pretzels and pita chips as appetizers, and both were delicious. For lunch, I shared the apple pecan salad with chicken and a margarita flat bread. Both were good choices and very flavorful. There is a small cottage on site that be rented as well. There is also outdoor seating available during warmer weather. Definitely will go back!
