Only noticed this place existed because of Google Maps. I live just a short distance away but it is inside an apartment complex and so I never noticed it as I drove by almost every day. Do NOT let this statement deter you. This is a very nice setup and worth a visit.
Interior was very clean, spacious, and decorated. They sell beer, wine and coffee so good for a lunch break as well as breakfast. The cashier who took my order was friendly.
I ordered a Chai tea Latte and banana bread muffin for my wife, and I had a brewed Guatemalan coffee, black. It took a little while to get the order but the drive thru was fairly busy also. The wait gave me time to notice some of the aesthetics of the décor. The coffee was very bold (which is normal for Guatemalan coffee). My wife stated the Chai tea seemed weak but she still finished it. We shared the muffin which was moist and had a good flavor. It's not a Starbucks, which is a good thing really. Lately, SB has been a bit hit and miss, never knowing if the seating indoor is going to be open or not. If I am paying $6 for a coffee, I want to use the wifi, hear the music, and just relax indoors. Brew is a great place to do that. More relaxed than the Starbucks I...
Read moreI really really really wanted to love this. And I struggled with the rating.
Pros: the coffee was pretty good. There seemed to be a good selection.
Cons: no one was wearing a mask. I get that it isn’t required in Hanahan, but not a single employee was ever pretending to wear a mask. It was SLOW. You get no choice with your flights. I get that that would slow them down, but no through given to allergies or preferences. The employees didn’t seem to know what was going on. I asked a woman about the pastries and she didn’t know the answer. The guy working didn’t know his beers. Expensive. If I’m gonna pay 15 for a mimosa flight, I don’t want Andre
Suggestions: put on masks Allow customers to choose - even if from a limited selection. Do it the way breweries do, and have them write their choices down after paying. I was given a coconut mimosa, I can’t stand coconut. And different people who ordered around the same time, had different flavors, so it isn’t preset. Have the pastries labeled. Streamline. Have one person taking orders and everyone else making drinks.
It’s a great concept, and I know they’re new, so hopefully they will work...
Read moreUpdate 5-20-23: We haven't been in a while. Lots of indoor seating seems to be missing? But the outdoor area has expanded on tables.
Padding has improved. There's an actual lot adjoining which is much better than when we first went.
Kind of an FYI - if you order a crescent or pastry they automatically heat it. I was NOT expecting that. Not sure if that's with ask their pastries or not but I did not expect that. And I wasn't asked first. So if that's not something you care for you might want to ask about your selection before they heat it without asking.
I got an OAT vanilla Latte. It was good no complaints.
Previous post: Fun new find. Open, fair amount of seating for a cafe. Bar area seating, couches, tables & chairs. It's more than coffee - happily hour at 2 to 4pm (they serve decaf), mimosas, teas...
Small area with salads, fruit, cookies, muffins, croissants and other drink options.
I enjoyed their flavors. They have new flavors often which makes going back for new and...
