Checkers — Restaurant in Hanahan

Horrible experience on Wednesday with a fast food restaurant my husband and I visit often. My husband walked up to window with excellent, speedy service. He had quite a big order but the girl said it was ok and she was ready for the order. Not even moments into this respectful young lady taking our order she got pulled away from a man who said he was the new General manager of the store to move on to the customer at the window and stated "my customers at the window are more important than walk ups please get the window first and we'll get to walk ups when we can" then when she came to finish taking our order in between( because you could obviously sense she felt bad as my husband has trouble walking and standing for us to just be standing there when people just pulling up to drive thru were getting their orders taken before us) he once again jumped in and said that she was completely in the wrong for giving me the 2 for $5 deal and that one of my burgers was not even included on that deal even though the young lady had just ring up the order under the deal with no problem. As my husbad was trying to explain he was continuously very rudely interrupted by the new General manager saying he wasn't a GM for no reason he knew what he was talking about and that my husband and his employee this poor young lady were completely wrong. Also while this young lady was trying to show him the simple button she pushed to make the 2 for $5 deal of the two sandwiches my husband and I wanted he kept hitting her arm away saying she was wrong and had messed everything up and not to get in his way. By the end the man walked off saying he needed a ciggeratte and that he'd be back but the store was in no shape to be left without the extra hand and sure enough me and my husband seen him sitting in his car smoking on the phone talking g about how "how he has dumba* employees and he would rather work somewhere else than deal with the bulls** he has to put up with from his boss and his employees. The young lady on the other hand (wish I could remember her name) was very apologetic and my husband even tried to give her a $10 tip which she politely declined saying she couldn't afford to loose her job over something that could be fixed so easily if her manager just would of taken the 10 seconds to see what she has pushed to make the deal which by the way she was correct and he was wrong which is what I believe made him frustrated. They have unfortunately lost our business until u der once again new management. The man was very rude and kept trying to tell my husband he was wrong and to shut up basically because he knew what he was doing which is why he got the new GM position, very arrogant and unfortunately doesnt seem fit for...

The service we received when we went here was just awful we waited almost 15 minutes just to receive the wrong food three orders all wrong We orignally went thru the drivethru but after getting the wrong order i walked up to the window to let them know The short light skinned woman looked up at me and i said excuse me She kept walking towards the back of the inside so i waited for someone else I assume he was the manager an older dark skinned man I finally got his attention i explaned to him the issue and he said i will make it so its done right I waited and receive another bag of the wrong food I explaned to him what goes on the burgers that was ordered and the short light skinned lady started arguing with me about me receiving the right food and i told her firmly that the orders were not made right She said they were and i know they were because i made them So i told her that if you are the one that made them the first time you didn't make any of them correct So the manager guy cuts me off by saying so what you want to do we made the food again and its still not right So im just gonna give you your money back I agreed to the refund He open the register with a button the register didnt have the little drawer that holds the cash in individual slots along with the change it was money just tossed inside he took out a twenty and asked one of the lady's for change for the twenty and she gave him change from her purse and he then gave me 17 dollars and he searched his pocket for the change I was owed Not was the whole situation should of never happened we waited their way too long just to end up with nothing Also I was in between jobs one day and figured ill give them a second chance seeing how I only had a few minutes to get lunch and get back to work I pulled up and parked to hit the walk up window because my truck seems a little too big to drive thru With two cars in the drive thru one on each side I figured I can get in and out no problem wrong The same lady was working and she brought her attitude along She ecnored me and the other person at the window after almost 7 minutes I gave up and left There was no time during my wait that someone that work inside opened the window to say well be with you in just a minute I give up on this location And that's sad seeing how this use to be the good checkers it was newer than the other locations in the area I guess the new smell is gone and you are now left with d road and leeds on remount type of service at least you expect rude cashiers from time to time on d road and Leeds as well...

Stood at the window for 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged. There were only about three cars in the line. The lady opened the window, looked at told me she wasn’t going to be able to serve me because she was busy and I asked her if I was in a car you would serve me right? She just looked at me and closed the window. I think that was very rude and I absolutely could have been served especially after sitting there 15 minutes basically my whole lunch break. This is not the first time that I went to this particular checkers on Remount Road and the service has been terrible. Made a review the other day about being told they were too busy to serve me(only 2 cars in parking lot) and having window slammed in my face. Now today had friend stop by in a car thinking hey maybe today I can get some lunch. Was told they aren't serving burgers (it's a burger joint) and was given some chili cheese fries and nothing else. When i got them... my job is less than 1 min away, was cold and soggy, and all the cheese was mashed on the box. Can we please shut this Checkers on Remount Rd, Chas SC down. Last review I was instructed to write checkers complaints.com and got nowhere, wouldn’t let me upload the address or store number or make a complaint. I'd just like my money back and this place to do better. If it's corporate, maybe it's time y'all stepped in. If it's franchise mayb y'all...
