The Bean Counter — Restaurant in Hanahan

My boyfriend and I wanted to check out a new spot for coffee so found this place on apple maps. We were so excited when we went in, everything was so cute and aesthetically pleasing….until we got to the counter to give our order. I asked the gentleman working what he recommended for something strong, he rolled his eyes and blew his breath as if I asked about something very offensive. He said well we have lots of options on the menus (pointing to the menus). I said I understand that sir but I’ve never been here so I’m asking for your recommendations….he had no recommendations and seemed very rude and upset I even had a question to begin with. We hurried and made up our minds, asked for a couple croissants, which were colder than room temperature and never offered a temperature increase. I’m so disappointed and sad because we are kind people and no matter how hard we tried, this man was anything but that. I hope he’s not the owner. Whoever did the decor and writing of the menus did a good job though. Sadly we won’t be back. I’m literally terrified to ask of anything from this...

I really want to like this coffee shop. It’s cute and on my way to work. The man who I am assuming is the owner is just rude and dry. I always try to be pleasant and perky. The last time they made my hot coffee iced and didn’t offer to correct it (just oh well) and that was fine, I rolled with it. I hate to complain. Now this morning I call to place an order and I’m informed that I can only order online. When I pull up the online ordering I don’t see any way to add flavors or customize drinks. I’ve ALWAYS called in my order. I told him that and he didn’t care at all. Go online. Cut and dryyyyy. It’s the customer service that ENSURES I’ll never go back. Why is it so hard to order just...

I only recently discovered this coffee spot. I’ve gone a few times now, and the last 2 days consecutively. It’s been consistently good. So far I’ve tried the chocolate chip cookie dough latte, the Irish cream latte, and the cortado. All delicious! The staff is always patient as I decide, and very fast!

Update: Returned again today after a very busy month. Just as amazing as I remember. Got my Cookie Dough latte, and added a piña colada red bull drink, along with an apple turnover from their pastries. All delicious and the two staff members inside were so friendly and chatted...
