On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 1300 hours I, Dante G., responded to Johnny's Garage located at 1526 Yeaman's Hall Road, which is located in the jurisdiction of the city of Hanahan, county of Berkeley, and state of South Carolina, in reference to a murder investigation. It seems in 2018 Aaron Korey and Dana Haines met their demise at the hand of Michael Myers at this location.
Upon arrival, I parked in a nearby large parking lot and approached the business from the B-side. I entered into the outdoor seating area and moved to the hostess station, as I was directed to do so by a posted sign. I was met by a friendly hostess. I advised that I sought seating for one. She offered a seat at the bar, but I declined. She sat me at a nearby four top along a low wall that bisects the outdoor seating area. The location has changed significantly since 2018.
Outdoor is somewhat misleading. It is a completely covered porch.
I was promptly met with my served and he quickly returned with my drink order, a Coca-Cola.
I reviewed the menu and decided on a Station Burger Double Block sans Shop Sauce (a mayo based condiment). I added lettuce, tomato, and bacon. As a side, I chose plain fries.
After a refill on the Coke, my food arrived on a small drip pan and looked amazing. The fries were contained in the same type of salad bowl as I had when I was a kid.
I added ketchup to the burger and took that first bite. It was amazing. I initially thought I had ordered too much burger, but realized how dumb that sounds.
The bun had sufficient structural integrity to not fall apart while I ate. The meat was excellent. The fries were awesome. A nice, wavy and crunchy exterior and a soft warm inside.
The atmosphere is loud. Friends meeting friends, tables watching sports, just a general positive vibe.
I finished my food and signaled for the check.
About the murder investigation. Johnny's definitely killed it with the burger. Excellent all around and I look forward to eating here again.

Read moreCame in today for some lunch with some friends. We had about a 10 minute wait for our table. After being seated we waiting about 15 minutes for our server to come to the table. She took our drink order that was very basic and simple. She brought our drinks and told us she would be back in a few minutes to take our order. She returned and started taking our food order. We all ordered starters and our meals and explained how we needed the check divided. Our starters came out and they were hot but really had no flavor (Crispy Brussel Sprouts) they sounded better on the menu than they did when we ate them. The (Fried Dough Dip Plate) was basically as it reads. Our main meals can to the table and they were all hot. We had the (Dirty South) pizza and it wasn’t all that great. It was supposed to have hot honey on it but didn’t taste like it had any. It didn’t have much pepperoni or many jalapeños on it. We don’t feel like the price of $19 was matching for the amount of items on the pizza. One of the other couples in our group got the (The Over Achiever) and it also had very little toppings on it especially the sausage and pepperoni. Our server came by the table and asked if we needed refills and we all said yes. She returned and filled one person’s beverage and took off and never came back. Another server was walking by later and she stopped and asked if we were doing okay. We told her no that we would really like more drinks. She left and a few minutes later our server showed back up with a pitcher half filled with what the table was drinking and she had to make it stretch between all of us at the table. When we were done she was quick to bring the checks to the table and disappear again. In total we only seen her 3 or 4 times during the entire visit. We have all discussed our visit and decided that we probably won’t be going back anytime soon. We wish them all the luck at being a new restaurant in the area and hope they take these reviews serious and...
Read moreWent to celebrate birthday. Was disappointed by the small amount of tables inside but impressed with the outside seating. Who wants to sit outside in the summer without A/C and in the winter with only portable heaters. However it was cold outside and didn't want to sit under a heater. We were expecting a cleaner, newer restaurant, but they left way too much "gas station" feel. It was dingy. I feel there was so much possibility and they missed the mark. Hanahan needs a good, clean burger joint. Looks like the pizza is supposed to be the main food, it wasn't. Maybe one day they will get the pizza figured out. Anyway, our pizzas were totally undercooked, raw bottom pizza dough. There were a few mistakes with the pizzas. They would not do half jalapeños on a pizza, why? Very oily pizza. The service was ok, we kept needing to flag our server for assistance. The menu is not what we were hoping for. We were looking for nice burger choices but that's not the case. The toddler highchair was very gross. But I was pleasantly surprised that it was for a...
