Christiansen's Tavern — Restaurant in Hancock

We love this place and go here for the loaded nachos every time when we are in Jiminy Peak. But the big problem is how seating is handled. Lots of empty seats on each table while people will wait for 1 to 2 hours to get seated. Staff only puts 2 people on a table for 8 (the "table for 8" is actually 2 tables with 4 seats each). They won't split up the tables. It's very frustrating. I spoke with the manager and was told that it is due to being understaffed. Yet I can order food at the bar and get it within 20 minutes. Doesn't make any sense!! Please seat people if seats are available and advise of potential wait for food (if at all). At least people won't walk out AND you are making money on drinks while people wait. I really hope you can change your policy as we love you guys and want...

Burger review no# 2 This is a review strictly on the burger here and how I like burgers. Personally I get mine with the buns and the meat, that's it, as basic as you can get. This burger looked good when it came out. Had a good shine, wasn't too big so I could fit it in my mouth, and it even had a pick in it. Dinner last night was mediocre in taste but outrageous in price. $7.50 for a draft Sam Adam's. $6.50 for a fizzy soda with No alcohol. But we came back for lunch where it was crazy busy. Totally understandable. But the bartender taking our to go order was Super rude. Comes out 45 minutes later to tell us they couldn't make our meal because they were too busy-- a wrap and popcorn chicken and fries.
