Subway — Restaurant in Hanford

I was on my way to Corcoran to do some work and thought I’d stop by and get a meal here. Place looks really nice from the outside and even once inside...at least initially. When I got in there, I noticed the top of the sweet green tea container was off, and a bag of mix was on the counter nearby; ok, no big deal if someone was making new tea, but I spent another few minutes checking the menu to decide what I might order and neither employee went to finish making the tea, nor at least even close the top. Additionally, the other specialty drinks were nearly gone and it’s 1030 a.m. Hey guys, lunch rush is coming soon...

I decided on a Black Forest ham and swiss sandwich so I looked down to see the fixings and decided against that order. The meat looked fine, but the cheese looked horrible, at least 3-4 pieces look like someone forgot to put them back in the fridge last night. They were dried out and just, damned gnarly-looking...so I figured I might order something else. Um, no...the jack cheese had pieces of meat and some kind of indescribable stuff which simply screamed “Not today buddy!” so I walked out...looks like Panda Express today...given two stars because other than the cheese and tea situations, the place looked alright...I’ll still eat at a place I rate...

It's, by the far, the most current spot in town with its soda machine and tv screen menus. But, the service, both speed and courteous, are lackluster. If you're in a hurry and those tv screens don't distract you while you're waiting, don't go. They have, on average 2 people behind counter, max, during the lunch hours. Today, only one guy handled it. I asked if anyone else was there.... his boss was. Never saw this person in the 20 minute it took to wait in line, order my sandwich and pay. The iced tea station was abandoned mid brewing, with the cover off. I let the poor guy behind the counter... still by himself, know and he said he knew. I told him, it might be a good idea to get that boss of yours out to help.... and left. Longest time to get my sandwich here.... 30 minutes. Only 2 people in front of me. Shortest time 15. Hope they get their act...

If you are looking for something fresh to eat other then fast foods that's healthy. Subway is the place to go for something fresh. The menu is endless. You build your own sandwich and the staff is more then happy to make it while you pick what you want on your sandwich. If you like it hot or cold. They cater to just give them advance notice and they will gladley provide the service. Fun place to take the family and sit down and have your meal. You can call in advance and place your order. I recommend this place to my family...
