MASSIVE TASTY DONUTS; mediocre coffee & artificial creamers.
PROS: Having visited a number of times and tried a variety of their wares, I found the donuts, buns, and pastries to be of good quality and you do get your money’s worth. Frankly, many are big enough for two to split. They have 4 bays of drink cooler with a good variety of beverages (OJ, milk, sodas [Coke & Pepsi products], teas, Monster, water, milk, etc.) They also have a cappuccino machine (I have not tried that). Most of the people behind the counter are welcoming and friendly.
CONS: Mediocre coffee and artificial creamers - the place could really benefit from improving that. Atmosphere - this is mostly a take-out place (you will see a steady run of clientele in the AM); seating and tables are adequate (4 tables for a total seating of 16), but the air is filled with the droning noise from the refrigerated drink coolers (measured 67 dB at the tables - about equal to the sound levels in a car on the highway). Not a place to stay for long; this is not a place to relax with coffee, donuts, and friends.

Read moreMy wife and I decided to drop in (from 60 miles away) to try out the donuts this morning. We walked in and took a while looking at the dizzying selection of donuts available. After receiving some of the friendliest service we've had anywhere, we got back in the car and started trying out the donuts. They were absolutely amazing. The glazed donuts were airy, fluffy and perfect with an amazing glaze that wasn't so sweet that it hurt the teeth. The bear claws were unreal, perfectly executed and delicious. I've been trying for years to find someplace that served lemon-filled donuts and finally found it. After years of anticipation, Yummy's delivered and knocked the ball out of the park! It was like greeting an old friend. This place is awesome from the time you walk in to the time you finally can't eat another bite. Amazing food, awesome staff and friendly service that's just wonderful to see these days. If you haven't checked it out yet, I can't...
Read moreEverywhere I travel when I see a donut place I am always disappointed, especially after growing up and having Peterson’s donut corner in Escondido, California anytime I wanted. When I saw the few pictures from Yummies, I was intrigued so I went over there got an apple fritter, glazed old fashion jelly filled, and cream filled. They weren’t as big as Peterson’s size donuts but I tell you what they were fantastic. They were fresh properly made, properly filled, and I enjoyed every single bit of them. If I am ever in that area I will definitely without a doubt stop in and stock up. The staff was very friendly and the prices were all right. There wasn’t quite as an assortment as I would’ve liked to have seen, but the basics were all there. Thank you for excellent experience. It is truly difficult to even come close to Peterson’s donut corner but you did it! I’m really disappointed in myself I did not take pictures. Next...
