Where do I begin on our horrible experience! We visited on mother's day to celebrate my child's birthday to which my child is obsessed with trains so I thought it would be fitting. When we walked in one of the two servers just said "3 for table" and threw the menus down. No "hello" or a smile. We sit down and once we are settled we continue to sit there as no one approached our table to say hello, take a drink order or anything, while I watch the servers just stand there and talk and check their cell phones as there were only 3 tables there. Finally my mom got up to ask if someone was going to come to our table. The server just simply says "well yeah are you ready to order". So I simply ask about using a Groupon I had purchased and signed my child up for the birthday program. To which I was told I couldn't use both. I simply said, " Are you kidding me, I intended to have my child to be able to be given the dessert and song". We dont live close for us to come back another day as she said for us to do. I simply ask for to check with the manager because of that and the lack of concern for you to greet us and take our order while I watch you stand there and talk. The server says with attitude" well are you going to spend $25" to which she is referring my Groupon. Mind you she never left to ask the manager. So as my server continues to give attitude we still decided to stay, it was lunch time, we were hungry and I needed to use my Groupon. Had it not for wanting to lose my money, we would've left. The food came out fast and it was hot. My burger was good, my fries were horrible it was kibble for fries. My mom had a hot dog and she wasnt impressed. The server never came back to check on us until we were almost done. Otherwise I would have addressed the fries, asked for mayo for my burger and more pickles. I ordered my child's dessert and asked for the bill all at once, just in case my server wanted to disappear and continue her conversation with the other server. I was able to use my Groupon and the birthday club, so it was nice to accommodate that need. Unfortunately, the server was left a very minimal tip. Had her attitude been better and more attentive to us, it would've been a better outcome. I'm sorry she had to work on mother's day, as I understand it myself being in the hospitality industry. As for the decor, there were trains pictures all around and the moving train, but the restaurant could use more. Just expected more all around!!! Eat there at your own risk if you want horrible service! Definitely can get better burger, cheaper prices and better service other places. We weren't impressed and...
Read moreI've been living within 10 minutes of 2Toots for the past year and went for the first time today. I am now really sad that I didn't go sooner!
I brought my 7-year-old daughter to the restaurant for lunch today. Right from when you walk in, the aesthetic and ambiance is simply wonderful. It gives you the feel of a 50s diner, complete with oldies music on the radio, but with train-related decor. The restaurant itself is setup so that a little model train passes each and every table to deliver your order. This was especially great to me, as I've been to similar restaurants where you only get this experience if you sit at certain spots in the restaurant. 2Toots makes sure no kid feels left out, not to mention that this means a train passes by your table every few minutes. My daughter was enamored by it the whole time.
I ordered a double hamburger, while she ordered nuggets and fries and a chocolate shake. The shakes are made the old-fashioned way and are served up in a malt cup. My daughter is a chocolate shake connoisseur and is also super picky. She was blown away by this shake. I've never actually seen her have a "Wow..." reaction to a shake before, but she did today. The double burger was fresh and delicious, a piping hot smash burger that was exactly what a burger is supposed to be.
The staff is also incredibly friendly and definitely take pride in what they do. I have plenty examples of this, but the greatest came when my daughter went to go use her tooth fairy money in the prize machines. One of the machines ate her quarter, and I was preparing the old "This happens sometimes." speech. But a man, who I have to assume runs the restaurant, came up asking if it didn't give her her prize. He then pulled the keys for prize machine out of his pocket, opened the machine, and let her pick her prize out. It's such a simple act, but it's also the kind you don't really get from most places anymore.
We will absolutely be going back. My daughter has already requested it. Thank you 2Toots for such a...
Read moreThis was a cute place I love cheeseburgers and my husband and I are always looking for Unique places to eat cuz after 35 years of marriage we go out every Saturday on a lunch date and so this place we went to because of Groupon it was a little bit more expensive than I had thought because we had bought the $25 Groupon and thought that that would be enough but we had to and I think 10 or $15 cash so it's quite expensive for cheeseburgers and hot dogs but it is a novelty for kids if you have kids you definitely have to take them there at least once the train delivers your food. There isn't really much interaction with the wait staff they just take your order and that's it and then I guess when the foods delivered they take it out of the basket but other than that there's not really much interaction. I don't think I'll go back because of the expense and not because of the lack of waitress staff interaction just because it's a little bit young of a crowd for us there was a lot of kids screaming in there that day. The burgers were good and like I said it's always take your kids your grandkids for...
