I considered this restaurant after reading the reviews. Visited with family on a Monday night. They place was not busy, a few other tables were occupied. Service was not bad. Food was delicious, however portion sizes are small for the price. We were also charged for bottled water. Granted it wasn't much for the bottled water, but they provided the bottles (Tony's grocery store brand water bottles, not sparkling water) as we were seated and did not ask us if we wanted bottles or a pitcher full of tap water or even sparkling water (which I don't think they had anyway). The bottled water tasted like tap water. I've never been charged for water without first being notified of my options at any restaurant. The food was made medium spicey as we preferred, but being medium spicy, we needed water. We had assumed it was complimentary water bottles since every table occupied had these. Between 7 people we asked for water one additional time for 2 people, which led to a total of 9 (16oz) bottles being used that we found out we were charged for when the bill came. I don't mind paying for the water bottles, but I'd like to know beforehand that I'm going to get charged and exactly how much, and I'd like to be given the choice of tap water or sparkling bottled water to drink. I also realize prices at all the restaurants have increased, but this place was more expensive compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, especially for the smaller quantity of food compared to other places.
Garlic naan is very good, although smaller size compared to other restaurants so you'll want to order double the amount you'd normally order at other places. This will, of course, make your meal a bit more costly. Overall, all the items we ordered were smaller on portion sizes for the menu price noted.
This was the first Indian restaurant that did not provide complimentary roasted papad as most restaurants do when they first seat their guests. I don't think I can recommend this place nor will I be back any time soon.
I'll stick to my usual go-to places (India Palace & Taj --both have great food with large quanity at reasonable prices and good service) if I'm looking within...
