I just experienced this place today. The best chocolate covered strawberry 🍓 . The trick is they take half the strawberry and cover the entire thing in milk chocolate. I went today on Valentine’s Day .. and they always make extra .. 1 half of pound which is about 12 pieces was $15.00. It was wrapped in an old fashioned box with wrapping paper. The regular grocery store was charging double for strawberries that were made almost a week ago.. It was like heaven walking in here. They have dark chocolate pretzels that are outrageous. I opted for the mini mini bag.. I thought Gertrude Hawk was good but this place is mind blowing. One of the best chocolate places in the world.. everything in this place is covered in chocolate.. potato chips, popcorn, Oreos, candy..,you name it...

Came all the way from Scranton no big deal only 22 miles. .Planed on buying 10 lbs of chocolate for the holidays for my friends and asked where the restroom was and I was told sternly we do not have a public rest room , and even after saying I was going to buy 10 lbs they couldn't care less. Must be nice to be that independent to throw away a good sale. Ignorance is Bliss let me tell you. . So I went to Gertrude Hawks bought chocolate there and used the public restroom and the staff was much friendlier. My family no longer lives in PA, but this is still my mom and dad’s favorite place to get fudge. I reached out to get fudge delivered on their anniversary and the timing was perfect! The Michael Mootz team worked with me to get it delivered in enough time so that it was as fresh as could be. I also ended up treating us to some of the dark chocolate vanilla buttercreams, which are a favorite from my childhood.
