06/23/18 I just moved to Streamwood recently and have been looking for a Chinese food takeout place. I have tried several and this is the one! I could not be more thrilled. They have these dinner for _ deals that are very reasonably priced so we decided to try one the second time we ordered. It was amazing!
So onto the food:
Egg rolls - best I’ve had in 10 years! Perfectly cooked, generous amounts of meat just perfect!
Shrimp - deveined! This shouldn’t be an issue but with Chinese food it really is. I’ve tried a couple shrimp dishes and it has always been deveined and delicious!
Fried rice - very very good, fried rice can be really hit or miss, this is the darker kind which I prefer. Does not seem to have any weird artificial color and tastes great
Sweet and sour- both the chicken and pork are great, perfectly cooked. The sauce is wonderful, the perfect mix of sweet with a bit of bell pepper flavor. Not that disgusting bright red garbage you get from some places.
Beef dishes - I saw a couple of complaints about the beef being bloody. Those people obviously have no appreciation for beef. The beef is pink in the middle a bit, it’s cooked medium. It is beautifully tender and tastes amazing. Probably the best beef I’ve had from a Chinese place. The vegetables are also cooked perfectly, slightly crisp but also soft. Overcooked for some purposes but I think it works perfectly with the beef (also undercooked by some standards, right in the middle)
I have already written to much but I could go on even longer! This is honestly the most exciting surprise I have had since moving to streamwood! I’m so happy we found...
Read morei just wanted to say I have been going to new Hong Kong for years. I was aware of how dilapidated it was getting but still as a loyal customer I went for the food. recently I ordered takeout. I had a not so good experience with the food. and did not notify the restaurant. I had just put up a review, and it wasn’t such a nice one. I have since deleted the review. Because I feel it was not fair. To not give the restaurant another try. but having a second chance at really tasting it. I realized that it wasn’t as oily as it used to be, and not as salty. which I met at is probably a little healthier. I had the sesame chicken, which was very good and my husband had beef chow dry. And that I am happy to report was excellent! I did not have a chance to go in and sit down and have my meal. I could see that they have completely or almost completely remodeled it. No more booths, no more stained ceiling tiles. It is updated and clean. I am looking forward to my next delicious review at this restaurant. It will actually be in the restaurant. and I will make sure that I...
Read moreEnter at your own risk! I order the wonton soup and shrimp fried rice. We dined in. When I took a bit into the wonton it was spoiled. When I told Kelly(waitress) that the soup was no good, it was spoiled, she took it away(body language didn't care). Didn't apologize or offer something else. When time to pay the bill she charge for the wonton soup. Ask why she was charging for soup that was spoiled. Kelly stated that the soup was 3/4 gone. I replied no I took one bit an spit it back in the bowl. When I told you it was spoiled you took it away and never offered to replace it or apologize. Kelly then stated you still have to pay. I told her again, I'm not paying for something that is spoiled that I didn't eat. Kelly replied whatever and takes the soup off the bill. Whatever is not what you say to a guess that. Whatever is not response that I should be recieving from an adult/owner of a restaurant. My own child doesn't say whatever. I will never...
