If you’re looking for fantastic Pennsylvania restaurants to try, Nonna Sulina’s should be one of them 🍽 This Italian restaurant in Bethlehem, PA offers a wide range of Italian dishes from pasta to pizza to chicken parmesan. The restaurant also houses a cheese wheel that comes out on select nights. Not only is the pasta created from the cheese delicious, but diners can watch the chef work their magic from the kitchen area. I loved the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant—it literally felt as though I was sitting in grandma’s house eating homemade Italian food. This resturant is definitely a foodie find and I’m so happy I have the opportunity to share what I ate as part of this food review. Whether you’re looking for things to do in Pennsylvania or are a local looking to try a new restaurant, Nonna Sulina’s should be at the top of your list! #pennsylvania #pennsylvaniarestaurant #pennsylvanialife #pennsylvaniafood #italian #italianrestaurant #italiancuisine #cheesewheel #chickenparm #eggplantparm #cheesepull #pasta #bethlehempa #foodiefind #foodreview #restaurantreview #nonnasulinas #italiandish #whatieat #foodtiktok #foodie

I took several days to think about our first time at Nonna Sulina's, because I really don't like leaving good people bad reviews; but I digress. We had reservations for a party of 8, were seated early and no issues there. We knew it was BYOB but couldn't find online if that was all beverages including the kids. They do, in fact, have sodas, cappuccino, espresso etc. Our server was great, very friendly and efficient. The restrooms were fine, single room and stocked well. Nothing to write home about. First issue: I ordered a San Pellegrino water and was handed a glass with an unopened bottle (perfect) with a large moth crawling on the bottle. I politely said something and she replaced it quickly. But ew. Our server forgot to put in an entire order for one in our party so he had to wait another 20 minutes for his. My father in law got a dish with a side of sausage (note, he had been here the week before & got the same) but they served him 2 literal Johnsonville breakfast sausages. Not kidding. Server said, I don't know it's all we've ever served. My plate of braciole was fantastic, definitely not worth an entree price for only 4 pieces and no side dish, however. I could do without the raisins in it. My husband got the Giacomo's pasta and it was way too sweet. The house red sauce was plain; the sauce on the rolls before the meal was good in an interesting way. My kids thought it was spicy though. My penne was undercooked and not in an al dente way. My oldest got the special "Polette di Filettio" and it was Insta worthy - I can say that about almost everything here, they know good marketing is serving Instagram quality food. Behind the pretty pictures is sub-par taste. After our meals came (about 25 minutes) we were waiting a very long time for refills, our missing order, napkins etc. We waited about another 20-30 just for our check. And we'd been there well over 90 minutes. We got a few desserts and again, just not that great. They LOOK great, but the taste was off. Sfogliatelle was rock hard and had waaayy too much extract. Peanut butter thing was dry and not worth it at that point of our meal. We were here for my father in laws retirement dinner and he left very disappointed. My husband was almost angry at this place and everyone left feeling let down. This place is just too overpriced for what you get. The food is mostly okay but they're trying to 'look' like a fine dining place with pretty plating when they should be working on better service and quality food.

Our 10th anniversary

Dinner at Nonna Sulina’s in Bethlehem ….horrendous!!!! Would not recommend it Growing up in the restaurant business we ventured out of the usual places we like to try something new. Had great reviews and high expectations Waiter knew it was our anniversary also

Started with the waiter asking us if we wanted fresh bread out of the oven…. Bread came out of the bread warmer by counter cold and then a cold vodka tomato sauce on it. The bread came out seconds before our appetizers came and took longer for waiter to return for us to say it was cold. He then took bread to the kitchen to return with the same cold bread…. Then disappeared. Served us warm ice tea with 5 small ice cubes in it ( must b an ice shortage). Our waiter never returned until our meal arrived. My $38.00 pasta dish with 2 small scallops and 3 small shrimp and a dusting of crabmeat was just ok. Tracy’s was just ok also Again waiter never returned to check in on us to see if meal was ok. Had to goto the counter for some more grated cheese. He was busy with other tables Finished our meals and he finally came to see if we needed containers. We said yes. He then went and served a couple other tables before returning with them. Never asked us when he returned if we wanted anything else again knowing it was our anniversary Then the owner came to our table to see how everything was. We explained the concerns and the owner just looked at us… shrugged his shoulders…. And gave us the huff and walked away knowing it was our anniversary and never asking what he could do for us(. Wasn’tlooking for anything but wasn’t asked) Then a lady came over and said that she heard our experience was not good She then explained to us that she couldn’t do anything for us and really wasn’t concerned Very disappointed will never go there again and wouldn’t recommend the place at all. All of those good reviews to me should be flushed into the toilet cause that’s...

This was our 1st time eating here & was highly disappointed (especially after reading the raving reviews) & traveling 45 mins. Originally made a reservation for 2 people @ 6pm~ called to see if can change it to an earlier time, which they had no problem doing. When we got there, they couldn't find my name/asked if it could be under a different name?! (even tho I gave them both my 1st/last name), I found it myself on their list/pointed it out to host. We both got the pasta wheel, which was good, but not worth $24 price tag/serving size & we were still hungry after! The guy who makes it uses his bare hands when handling the pasta, no gloves or anything! They serve you a small bowl of salad to share (even the table across from us that had 4 people only got 1 small salad to share amongst themselves). We asked if can have more salad, (which was brought), but then when we got the bill, it showed a $6 charge & we weren't informed it would be an additional fee! I told the waiter about it, but he said can't deduct off bill, apologized saying he should've let me know in advance! On top of that, they charge a fee when paying by credit card (which we didn't know until saw the bill)! We will not return!

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY~ I STATED UPON ARRIVAL, I GAVE BOTH MY 1ST & LAST NAME (MORE THEN ONCE, SEPARATE & TOGETHER), SO DON'T KNOW WHAT'S SO DIFFICULT ABOUT THAT?? OK, YOU SERVE COMPLIMENTARY BREAD/SALAD/OLIVES, BUT DOES IT SAY ONLY ONCE?!?! WHEN ASKING IF CAN HAVE MORE SALAD (JUST LIKE ASKED FOR MORE BREAD) YOUR STAFF CAN'T INFORM CUSTOMERS THERE WILL BE ANY EXTRA CHARGE FOR IT INSTEAD OF FINDING OUT WHEN BILL COMES?? THEN MANAGEMENT CAN'T COMPENSATE &/OR EVEN APOLOGIZE TO OUR FACE!?? AS FOR THE PASTA WHEEL BEING COOKED/HEATED @ HIGH TEMPS (IT WASN'T VERY HOT UPON EATING RIGHT WHEN BROUGHT TO TABLE), I DON'T AGREE YOU CAN...
