I periodically would order takeout from this place. The food is fine, and I used to enjoy it, until this incident. I'm writing a 1-star review because I am utterly grossed out by the behavior of one of the servers. I'm from a similar culture and background to the team, so I know this isn't just a cultural misunderstanding.

One of the servers-- I'm not sure which-- kept making comments about how he hadn't seen me in a while. Which was fine-- I thought it was just friendly. When I last went to pick up food, the server said he noticed it was my number for the pickup, and got excited. He said, in front of my child, that he'd tried texting me at my number the last time. I did not agree to this, consent to it, or ask for this. It was a gross violation of my privacy and made me feel horribly uncomfortable and scared. I went to use the bathroom, and when I came out, he came out of the other bathroom at the same time and repeated the line about my number.

He said he'd reached out to my number, but I hadn't responded the last time.

He said he was going to reach out at my number again. I was so shocked and horrified that I just brushed it off and wanted to get out of there. This is NOT OKAY. I did not consent to him having my number. I did not consent to him trying to reach out via my number. This man wears a wedding ring. I have barely spoken a few words except to say hello, and don't know his name. But he's one of the longtime staff at Base Camp. He has highlights in his hair and he usually wears it a bit longer than the other staff members. I feel really sick writing this. He kept asking about where I moved to, because I'd moved away from Hanover to an outer town.

I may reach out to the police to report this. This is 100% not okay, it's creepy, and it's harassment. Be wary if you're female and you order from this place, because there's someone on staff who may lift your number because he feels entitled to your...

We went there with a party of six. I am from Nepal and I have described a lot about Nepalese food to my friends and I was wandering whether my friends would like the food or not as all the five other friends were from different countries. When we went there, the ambience and vibe of the restaurant was welcoming and cozy. We ordered drinks and appetizers. As per the recommendation of server, we ordered paneer momo, chicken momo and jeera chicken which were exceptional. We all shared five entrees which were rack of lamb, grilled chicken, eggplant basil paneer, wildboar chilli and chicken noodles. The food was so fresh, delicious and flavourful. The best part was that we can order food as per our spice level. My friends don't like spicy food so I ordered one of the food really spicy at no.8 and I really enjoyed it. We were very skeptical reading last few reviews about the restaurant. But, only after experiencing we found out that food, service, overall everything was exceptional. They were very attentive and asked us how we like the experience three times and that was appreciable. Being a Nepali I always missed this sort of good nepalese food. I wish I live here but I live in Boston. If you are travelling here or live around area, don't miss the...

I've never had Napolonese food before so I didn't know what to expect but our meal was AMAZING. We got one Chai tea which was more milky than chai-ey but still enjoyable. We also got 2 adult beverages which were great. The Gundruk soup was good, tasted like tomato soup. We had the bread which was light and crispy and SO SOFT inside. One of the Best breads I have ever had. We got the calamari app which was different than what I expected. Its sautéed calamari in napolonese seasonings. But they served it with these little crispy rice which gave me the crisp I was missing. Also the Momo's were delicious, like little Steamed dumpling. We got Wild Boar and chicken The rack of lamb special was delicious. The meat was seasoned well, it didn't taste overly gamey. The Goat Takari was also amazing. And the side of rice it came with had a sauce on top.... almost tasted like a chimichurri sauce. We also got the vegetable noodles which was okay. It was a little on the sweet side (we asked for mild spicy level)

We don't have a high tolerance for spicy so we asked everything to be mild but we probably could have tolerated medium heat.

Overall a very satisfying meal. I will def. Mark it on my maps and try and come again if I am...

You would think a Nepalese restaurant would be on the top of the building, so it was almost disappointing to find it located in the basement. Not to worry, there is little else to harp on! Base Camp is a charming little bistro w excellent menu items. All that I’ve had were well made and presented by an affable wait staff. Service was generally quick at lunch time. The only slowdown was the time it takes to eat all of the food they bring. The other day I enjoyed the (lamb) momos as an app. Steamed to perfection, and generously plated. Still, so good I ate them all! Then, the Goat & Mushroom Chili arrived, and I knew I had my work cut out. I asked for “medium” heat. Overhearing from a neighboring table, they considered that 7 out of 10. It was definitely spicy, but not at all uncomfortable. The meat was sweet and juicy. The veggies cooked appropriately. My only complaint, and it is a small one, was that it was tough to find the mushrooms in a dish named for them. They kept the water glass full. The iced tea, though delivered late, had a really strong tea flavor w hints of something I couldn’t easily identify. Delicious!

Great service. Food is prepared by Nepali and tastes like Nepali food. Chicken Chowmen was delicious and worth the money for the serving And the taste. Spices to the par. Buff Mo:Mo was not up to the expectations, however, it did give some nostalgia of Nepali Buff Mo:Mo. Disappointed at the serving size of the Mo:Mo as they were small and only 8/plate instead of 10-12/plate which is the norm. This is the first time I found Buff Mo:Mo in US. They told me they have a contractor from US who supplies them with Buffalo meat. I did not eat Chicken Mo:Mo and can’t comment about the taste but same grievance regarding the serving size. All the associates were respectful and tended to all the needs appropriately. I don’t know their names; it may be a good idea to pin a small tag with their names on their shirts. Ambient atmosphere and gives a reminiscence about a typical well maintained Nepali restaurant. Lots of artifacts from Nepal which are beautifully decorated and the lightings suit them well. Overall satisfied and would recommend. I will go again if I am in Lebanon/Hanover.

The ambiance, I liked the pleasant atmosphere of Nepal and it's related photos and items. The place is one large hall and thus may be noisy but It did not bother me. As to the food, I liked that it was not Indian and not Chinese but a wonderful flavor of it's own; Nepalese. Because we were not sure if and when we'll be back, we ordered several dishes to have a better idea on this cousin. The vegetable Momo (dumpling) was excellent, although I'd like the dough to be lighter (but that may make it not Nepalese). The Dal (yellow lentel) soup delish with many pleasant flavors, such as Cumin seeds. The {Takari tofu and eggplant} and the {Chili tofu and mushroom} were was very good. In both dishes the green 🫑 peppers were too dominant but the flavors of both dishes were supreme. I had to taste something from the grill and decided on lamb chops which again did not turned me down. It was very good with wonderful flavors. The service and the entire operation were smooth, fast and on time. In summary, we had a symphony of new cousin and will certainly enjoy again.
