Nice to have an ElSalvadoran restaurant in town. Food and service are good.
Visited again just recently. The service was quick and pleasant. I love chorizo tacos and they made them very traditionally. They were delicious and my wife's quesadilla was good too. We were disappointed that they were out of Tres Leches, but I think they gave us a double size portion of flan to make up for it. The flan was really nice. Liked their guac a lot too, creamy and chunky.
Just visited again. The food was excellent as always but the waitress did not seem very happy with us and we don't know why. After she made sure our food was ok, she never came back, though she walked by many times. Eventually I went up to pay the bill because she never brought me the check. When I got there she needed me to tell her everything we ordered. It was a simple order, but she seemed to think that my wife had a chicken quesadilla instead of just the cheese quesadilla she had. I didn't understand why she didn't have the order slip she filled out when she took our order. I then asked her for a box for our leftovers and she seemed really annoyed. I gave her a decent tip, but she really made us feel unwelcome. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon. She seemed very friendly and attentive to the other guests, so maybe it...
Read moreWe found Blessing by accident - are we ever glad we did! I wish l could post pics of the food, but it was GONE before we thought to take any! Fairly familiar with Mexican, but unfamiliar with Salvadoran cuisine, we thought we'd experiment. 1st: The service was impeccable: friendly, kind, answering all our questions - l'm sorry l didn't get his name. 2nd: No frills decor, but you aren't going there for the atmosphere. 3rd: Let's talk food... My wife & l got shrimp tacos, chicken pupusa & tamales de rajas to share - let me just say, "Wow" - everything was delicious! Even the salsa served with the chips was amazing! This was such an incredible treat to have food of this calibur right here in Hanover. And as they accurately say on their website Blessing is "a succulent blend of culture & history from our table to yours!" As a local family operation, put this place at top top of your restaurant rotation - you'll be...
Read moreWe went here yesterday , drove from York 20 minutes to go see what this place was like . From the moment we went in we were greeted very nicely and attended to as if this place was a five star restaurant. Great service. The server smiled the whole time he interacted with us, he definitely made our stay very pleasant. I am a big fan of Mexican and Salvadoran food , and gone places where servers look like they tired of serving but this young man was on it. I ordered some pupusas which is my favorite plate in a Salvadoran setting and it was delicious. If you go here know that you will be treated with the outmost respect and you will also enjoy anything that they have on their menu . They’ve come along way from food truck to opening a restaurant , so believe that this same dedication is put into every single plate...
