I’m really bummed about this experience— I didn’t even get to taste their food. My family moved to Hanover from out of state a couple of weeks ago. We hadn’t unpacked our kitchen yet, and everyone voted on Mexican food for dinner. I found this place through GrubHub. The menu sounded amazing and I was looking forward to trying things I’d never had before. My order for 4 adults and a child came to $64. Not bad. There was nowhere foe me to leave a note on the order, so I called the restaurant to ask for paper plates and utensils. (Again, this is the day after we moved here.) Some woman answered the phone with simply, “Hola?” She didn’t say the name of the restaurant or anything and it sounded like I’d reached someone’s cell. I told her, “Hi, I just placed an order through GrubHub...” and she cut me off and said, “We didn’t get it.” I said, “Well, maybe it hasn’t come through yet. I just ordered it a minute ago.” She proceeded to argue with me, telling me they didn’t get my order and then she finally said, “We aren’t making your order,” and hung up on me. I called the number back, but she had blocked me. I thought perhaps I had dial the phone number incorrectly the first time, so I double checked, and sure enough I had dialed it correctly and now they had blocked me after taking $63 of my money and telling me they wouldn’t fill my order. So, I called back from my husbands phone and she answered on the second ring. I asked what was going on and she blocked me again. Weird. Finally, after about 30 minutes, GrubHub called to tell me the restaurant doesn’t want to be on GH and won’t be filling my order. Had to wait almost a week for a refund. Here’s a thought: if you don’t want to be on GrubHub, don’t list your...
Read moreThis is the BEST Mexican food in all of York & Hanover. I’ve been eating here for over 10 years and the food is still as good as the first day I ate here back in 2006. There are no other better chilaquiles in the world. The salsa verde is superb. The cecina melts in your mouth & the egg & beans with it are so good together. It is my favorite meal on the menu. The torta al pastor is also a favorite. The one I got yesterday was ENORMOUS! It was SO delicious and I shared it with my husband and daughter and still had a quarter left which is still the size of a full sandwich! The sopes adobada are also fresh and so yummy. The masa is the perfect thickness and is crispy on the bottom and flavorful unlike others I’ve had. The adobada & al pastor meats are always perfectly seasoned and I’m hungry again now writing this review! If you haven’t tried it here you should. I like getting it to go just because it is a small space inside for dining. We have eaten inside a few times and had great service, but just personally prefer it to go. They also have a store beside the restaurant stocked with fresh bread (pan), veggies, fruit, meats and many Mexican staples. I will continue to make the +45 minute drive here because it is totally worth it every time and I am never disappointed!...
Read more$ AMAZING PRICES $ They are not super friendly here, and you have to kind of figure things out on your own. Most of the employees don't speak English. The place is very small and cramped. Besides those things, the prices are the best in the area and make sense. They don't overcharge for small portions of food like La Libertad does. You get large portions and lots of meat. My significant other loves the tacos that they pile high with steak or carnitas with NO fillers of half-cooked onions and bell peppers like La Libertad(I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that uses so many bell peppers and onions to rip-off customers instead of giving them meat!). I had the posole, and it really just tasted like a watered-down menudo, so I wouldn't order that again. I'm so looking forward to trying everything...
