Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Harahan

Initially, the Doordash driver delivering my food contacted me to let me know that they had arrived at the store and been told the order would be ready in 20 minutes. Over 40 minutes later, it had still not been finished. They said they were waiting on the pasta for my order- but neglected to inform ME, the customer, of this and ask if I wanted to change the order since they were waiting on an item for it they did not have in stock. They communicated only with my driver- and not for lack of trying on my end, because during this time I tried contacting the store to figure out what was going on with my order several times and waited on hold for 40 MINUTES before giving up. I know the wait was not the fault of my delivery driver because when I did finally get the food- at 8 p.m., despite me ordering it before 6:30- it was piping hot, clearly having just been finished... over an hour and a half after I made the order. It was not a large order. I live right down the street. That is a ridiculous amount of time to wait on a pizza delivery. I have never had such a negative experience with purchasing food in my entire life. I work in the restaurant industry so I very rarely complain about service- I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of harsh criticism from a customer for things out of my control. My experience with this Pizza Hut location has been pretty good for the most part. I’ve ordered delivery numerous times over the last few years, and the delivery drivers have always been super nice. The pizza is always delicious and the wings delicious about 75% of the time. I just wish they were consistent with providing Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes with the orders. This is the worst ever Pizza hurt store and the Management I have seen. I am a regular customer of pizza hut and for 1st time I have ordered in this store and never going to order here again. Incorrect order was delivered and until I went home and checked food I was not even informed about the mistake they did and when I called them they say oh sorry we thought someone would called you.
