Pulling off the street , you may get a bit confused between the entry to the restaurant and to the motel. There is a large parking lot but no real parking spaces. Walking up a slightly steep walkway is the entrance. When my family went inside we noticed a very large open space to the right. With the ordering " window " right in front of us, the board has many options to choose from. Ordering was a bit difficult for me because it was hard to decide if I wanted a plate or a la carte items. After putting in the order and filling up our own drinks ( soda pop, teas or juices ) we found a seat that we wanted. There are options. You can stay inside, eat on a expansive patio or a long the front of the business. We chose inside where it was nice and cool. The lady we ordered from brought out our food when everything was ready. At first look, it looked so delicious. For the most part it was. My baked beans were a bit cold. The pulled pork was dry ( better when putting your bbq ( different heats ) sauce on it ). Unfortunately, the Texas toast seemed as though it was ready first and was set to the side while the rest of the order was being put together. A few of my family members said their food was hot and delicious. I guess what you order and in what order the cooks out the meals together really matter, just as any other restaurant. My family will go back because as I said, 4 outta 5 members enjoyed...
Read moreMy one time going there for takeout was horrendous. Food was ok but staff just shocking. It wasn't even that busy to start with!!!! It took a long time to just acknowledge me when I came through the door. When they Finally did and took my order, which took forever, they made me wait yet another long period of time.
Customer service skills 0. At least from the staff who "took care" of me. The young waitress then gave my order (it had taken such a long time I was just about to walk back out honestly) to someone else simply because she neglected to check who it was for, and handed my bags to a toddler who just proceeded to play with them, shaking and swinging them into the air. The waitress realised her mistake and ran to the child, quickly giving me my food, without even looking at me, say one word let alone apologise. Like really!!? What a mess. I'll spare you the details on how the food was inside. She knew it was a mess yet did nothing to compensate for the huge overall inconvenience....

The long version: If you're looking for speedy service, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for probably the best barbeque in the state, however, you've found it.
This is a quaint little family restaurant and they spent years perfecting their craft. Everything is great, even the potato salad, and I don't usually eat potato salad.
Their bbq sauces are vinegar based which isn't normal for Arkansas and might turn some people off. I thought they were the best I'd had in awhile, though.
Also - Get the ribs. Totally worth the wait. The ribs we ordered were falling off the bone. Perfectly well done.
Finally, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the amount and quality of food.
Hit this place up after a day on the river, you...
