Huddle House — Restaurant in Harlan

The staff and restaurant were ok. My problem is a couple other things relating to food. The billboard outside said 9 meals at $5.99. Asked for that menu and only 3 items were that price. The others were 6.99 and higher. One of the 5.99 was a dessert. Dessert isn't a meal. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and chicken tenders and fries. Both were $6.99. The chicken tenders were horrible. Pitiful. Actually disgusting. The fries and Texas toast were good. Not sure if the chicken tenders were gross because they were old, frozen then quickly fried, bad meat, or something else. They were also extremely small. I told the staff when I went to pay bill the chicken wasn't good. Staff said yeah the breading is bad. I told them no it wasn't just the breading. Couldn't even cut it. I have probably eaten chicken tenders, strips, fingers, and nuggets at hundreds of restaurants. Never have I been so disappointed. Usually chicken is a safe bet. Also The drinks were overflowing with ice. Even refill was mainly ice. Weird experience. I probably won't visit a Huddle House again unless it is my only option. I didn't complain to get a free meal. I should not have had to pay for such meal. I paid full bill and gave minimal tip. It wasn't staff fault but giving a good tip on a bad...

We waited over a hour for drinks, let alone our food . When we FINALLY got to eat everthing was cold including the shrimp and steak platter i ordered. Im sorry i understand being understaffed and all but somone is gonna get sick and die from this place. We ordered 4 plates and 4 plates were not eaten. We paid for 2 of them out of pity for the waitress being overwhelmed by all 3 customers on a monday . Absolutely yhe worst place i have ever eaten hands down. I will share my dogs bowl of kibble before i let me or my family ever eat there agin and for anyones safty i sudgest you do the same. Upper management down to the staff needs to be removed for this abomination of a so called "restaurant ". My food would have ben hotter if i had dug it from the dumpster. I love eating at Huddle House if I’m in Harlan that’s the only place I go to eat, if they sold power tools, cleaning supply’s and hygiene products it would be a one stop shop for me. I think every single employee there are great they make it a fun atmosphere because of their individual personalities. I don’t necessarily have picks but my last visit my cook was Calvin Long and he gives Granny a run for her money, you can tell he definitely has experience. My waitress was Caitie Winn in my eyes she’s she’s the perfect all around waitress and 100% my favorite her personality brightens my day and her appearance is most delightful she’s so attractive and it goes good with my meal.
