Moonbow Tipple Coffee & Sweets — Restaurant in Harlan

I've left a review for this place before, but it vanished mysteriously. So, here's another one!

I cannot recommend this place enough! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a kind staff and a gorgeous industrial feel. The coffee is absolutely delicious and so is the food! I often come here for lunch and so far my favorite is "The Coal Miner" drink blended like a frappé and their chicken, bacon, ranch wrap. I would stop by more often if weekend hours were available, but when I can stop by I definitely do!

Even if you're not a coffee fan, they have something for you! They have amazing baked goods, daily made soups, hot dogs, and have recently added gelato. I'm unsure if it's homemade and I have yet to try it, but it looks devine. They also have decaf and sugar free options as well as traditional drink options like soda and beer.

I mentioned this in my last review, but I'll reiterate just how vital a place like this is to our little community. The town is in desperate need of a facelift and this little shop should be an example of how to do so. A local small business that's "with the times" but doesn't shy away from our history is exactly what we need and more of them. It gives me a lot of optimism for our hidden little town.

Need a quick up drink to kickstart your day or a relaxing drink after a long day? This cozy café is located in downtown Harlan and is easily accessible from Main Street. This was my first time visiting this place, and it was well worth it. It's a mid-priced coffee shop, but the portion sizes, service, and flavor are well worth it. I tried the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and it was without a doubt the best I've ever eaten. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the cheese melted in my mouth was exquisite. This is the best café in Harlan County! The staff was terrific and did everything they could to help my group of 17. There outside of this coffee shop is painted a lovely blue, inviting locals and visitors into their ample open space. They have couches, tables, chairs, and plenty of books and games to check out.
