Overall: Great experience and will certainly go back. All service people seemed in good spirits and the place is smaller so that means they won’t get as overwhelmed as easily with work. Our waitress even came by once or twice to pull used half-and-half containers off our table or just to check in with us. Pros: - plenty of parking - smells nice as you walk in, not too greasy smelling - we got sat at a table pretty quickly - waitress very happily explained the differences between some of the food options - it’s a small restaurant so the waitress was actually able to keep an eye on our table - I saw a table where more than one person ordered coffee and they gave the whole table a pitcher of coffee - food came relatively quickly - good price point Areas for improvement: - since the inside was smaller, once we put our name in we went back outside to get out of the way to wait for our table. We waited in the sun which was fine since it wasn’t that long. But if there was a longer wait, it would be nice to have a shady place to wait, maybe adding sun sails to the walkway or giving people buzzers so they can wait elsewhere out of the sun or the cold in the winter if the wait is going to be longer. - the chorizo hash had great flavor and was cooked perfectly (I would certainly get it again) but it was a little dry - next time I would probably add cheese to it or get it with sunny side up eggs

A friend and I visited this past Sunday for breakfast. It was busy, which was very understandable, but I have some thoughts: 1. If you do go at a busy time, go in a group of 4-6. The seating available for two is inadequate and while we waited for an hour to be seated, group after group was seated before us. 2. I don’t feel the quality of my food matched price, and our wait time just to be seated was 3x as long as the time it took us to actually eat our meal. The meal time altogether was uninspiring. 3. If I go back—and I’m willing to—I’ll order something else and make sure I’m either with a larger group or when it’s not busy.

This was our first time visiting Breakfast on Boal. The staff was great and very friendly. The food was amazing. We ended up getting 2 orders of French Toast, an order of pancakes, and a Boalsburg breakfast. I ended up forgetting to get a picture before we started to eat, but the serving size was great. Everyone walked away full and happy. It was very easy for everyone to sit and enjoy their meals without complaint. 10 out of 10 would recommend visiting if you haven't already. P.S. If they have the Blueberry-lemon jam, get it. You won't be disappointed. I actually ended up getting another order of toast just for my eggs.

I had been wanting to try Breakfast on Boal in Boalsburg for some time now. And I definitely enjoyed my first experience this past weekend! Firstly the grey walls definitely give it a colder feel that clashes with the warmth of breakfast. The restaurant would have a much better vibe and atmosphere with a warmer paint color on the walls ( sage green, yellow, tan). The grey on the outside and inside is just drab and dreary. Our waitress was wonderful and did a great job! I got the Boalsburg Breakfast and I really enjoyed my meal. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito, and while the presentation was absolutely stunning the lack of flavor left something to be desired. The pricing was fair, and definitely a cheaper than other famous Central PA breakfast establishments. cough The Waffle Shop * cough* If you're looking for a good breakfast spot to try, I would definitely suggest stopping in and checking out...

I’m a customer who goes every weekend and this past weekend I waited for 45 minutes for a table and another customer who came in after me got seated first. Same number of people in their party as mine. When I asked how that happened they said oh don’t worry your next. But these people definitely were favored first because they are also regulars. This wasn’t the first offense there either. One other time I was having breakfast with a friend who I hadn’t seen in a long time. We sat and chatted awhile and the owner told us we needed to leave because he needed our table for other people. Poor customer service. It’s unfortunate because the food is good but I don’t know if I will go back....
