I went in half hearted but a little hopeful, I saw they had a lot of different sizes and of bras not just in the US and I really wanted to try them out.
I walked in and asked for a fitting, the woman was very nice, and she took me back to a room, she handed me different bras of different types. Telling me what I should be looking for and feeling, telling me how to put on a bra properly and that different kinds of bras fit different from other bras and so on. Very informative!
I learned in at least the one company, Panache, I was a MUCH larger size then I'd been wearing. A torrid 42F US, while in these I'm a 38JJ UK, which is a HUGE difference. She said it wasn't perfect but... i know I'm such a odd size and the sizing doesn’t go above K so it worked for me. The one bra she had in my size was only 66$!? I had spent over 80+ on one bra that didn't fit me at all (though Torrid and Victoria secret people said it did) so that was also a lovely surprise.
I wore the bra out, my shoulders felt relief, my back felt better, and I felt so supported. She even made a comment saying I looked like I lost 10lbs wearing the right bra and it made me feel so much better about myself. It was a small comment but meant a lot to me.
I will be back and I'll buy more bras in the future here. Thank...
Read moreThis whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. I just wanted to be fit for a bra. Instead I was handed tons of different bras to try on with no discussion of what I was actually looking for. I just wanted something cute to wear for a date, I was not looking for a daily, perfectly supportive bra. I think we could've saved everyone's time if I had just been told the process and if they had explained what kind of products they have, but I was put into a fitting room without any explanation first. Quickly realized the shop had a very small selection of practical but not very cute bras - the exact opposite of what I came looking for, but by that point I'm in this fitting room confusion. I felt like I was being shoved into bras that were WAY too tight, and was just told that that's how they're supposed to be when I voiced this. I honestly don't know why I handed over my credit card at the end, I was just so overwhelmed and wanted to leave. Came to my senses later and noticed that they only take returns for store credit, not actual refunds. I respect that they have a way of doing business but...
Read moreI took my 85 year old mother to the shop for a fitted bra. I was delayed outside by someone asking for directions. When I entered the store, the owner had taken my mother to the fitting room and a bra had already been given to my mother. While the owner was assisting my mother in putting the bra on, she did not measure my mother or listen to her needs. My mother did request a front-closing bra, but this one, apparently the most popular style, includes numerous hooks and nearly impossible for my mother to put on or take off. My mother has arthritis. In the moment, I did think the bra fit well, but I was bothered by the experience. Where was the individual attention? Where was the time taken to fit my mother correctly? We did leave the store with the bra, but we should have taken a deep breath and demanded a correct fitting and a bra that would be one that my mother could easily adjust herself. Our experience at the "special" bra shop was not good. The owner's general affect was rushed and annoyed. We will NOT return to Your...
