Sad's Soul Food Cafe — Restaurant in Harrisburg

Placed my order on DoorDash, I receive a call asking if I cancelled the order, which at that point I said “No, I’m literally looking at the order still active in my app” the person that didn’t even introduce themselves said okay and hung up. I’m watching and waiting for my order in the app the next thing I know my doordasher calling saying the owner won’t give him my food because the order was cancelled, I spent over $50 on two platters mind you. So the dasher goes back into the store because I asked to speak to the owner, the owner in the back yelling talking all crazy about me trying to get free food. I calmly told the guy through my dasher because he wouldn’t even speak to me about it, I told him that my phone says my dasher is waiting for the order and my dashers phone said the same. He’s still in the background yelling about how I’m not on his level to speak to him, I guess assuming I was trying to steal food….turns out his machine was wrong and instead of apologizing or offering to correct the situation, he hung up me as I was trying to gain clarity about what even happened as I was still confused. He even admitted he was the one who called about the order cancelling and admitted that he had heard me say “no I didn’t cancel it” so why go through all that unnecessary bullshit? On a $50 order at that, so needless to say I...

There's not too many soul food restaurants around Harrisburg anymore so I gave this place a second try now I remember why I never went back..43$ fish is dry and too salty the macaroni and cheese dry it don't even stick together do potato salad might as well be mashed potatoes mind you it looks good but it's horrible and when I called earlier I was having problems navigate the website can a woman on the phone didn't even want to help me with that cornbread with cinnamon in it run I don't usually come for people but this place truly sucks... the only thing I would recommend is the silverware.... and there's no need to ask for a refund or even complained I called and told the young lady I would not be coming back to the restaurant he called me and I hung up I have seen that man in action when a customer was not satisfied oh he won't cuss you out and mess up your day I didn't allow that.. lesson learned I will never order from this restaurant if they was given the food...

I understand that we have too follow rules but sometimes compassion goes a long way!!!! Fyi SADS IN HARRISBURG IS JUST WHAT IT NAMESAKE IS…THEM PEOPLE ARE SAD!!!!!! The police had all the roads blocked off and my baby was in the parade. So not knowing any better, I parked in their big ole parking lot!!!! Rushing I must’ve missed the sign stating that they tow!!! Well long story short!!! The parade probably took us 1 full hour!! And they towed my car which cost 300 dollars to get out!!!! They didn’t make not a dime off of that. But they did it🤐🤐🤐I mean it’s Saturday, it obvious a big event was taking place.I’m sure they seen the cops everywhere!!! All it takes is compassion! But they felt the need to ruin a persons day!!! I would NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AS A CUSTOMER! I like nice...
