We stopped for a quick bite on Thursday the 20th around 5:00. We were seated promptly that's a plus. Our server was very polite. My husband was looking forward to trying the original burger that he remembered from years ago, and to say that it was a disappointment is an understatement. The two patties that were on the sandwich were probably around a quarter inch thick if that. There was a Rotten Tomato put on there, he requested onions, there were none, the pickle was good, but the burger as a whole was a huge disappointment he said the taste was not even remotely good. He didn't really even finish it. It was coupled with a puny order of fries, which I have to say were pretty crispy, but the size of the portion was just tiny. I ordered the salad bar. That was a bad decision. The little muffins were stale, the chickpeas were spoiled, as were the green olives. The cucumber and tomato salad tasted like it was tossed in water. It had no flavor whatsoever, as did the macaroni type salad. I had a plate of salad most of the stuff that I put on it I scraped off. The coleslaw again without flavor. Very disappointing. So for a burger that was probably not even a quarter pound, two small patties were there, a salad bar, and the burger came with two sides which we got fries a double order. With a Pepsi and iced tea or bill came to 33 dollars and some odd cents. I don't mind paying for food when it's quality, but this is ridiculous. I told our server about that, and she almost had a look of agreement on her face when I said they need to find someone who knows how to cook. So needless to say that will be our last experience with them. We could have gone to Texas Roadhouse for about the same price and I'm sure we would have had an...
Read moreWent here for lunch with a friend on Saturday because we were in town and it wasn't fast or expensive food but good quality for the price. The waiter was busy when we got there and we were informed right away and someone else got our drinks but there was no delay. Matt (our waiter) was super friendly, smiling, always checking in, and got the order right. The most important things and he nailed them all.
When we walked in my girlfriend was looking for the smiley cookies but didn't see any without sprinkles (jimmies depending on where you're from). One of the people at our table was a kid and when Matt brought over the cookie at the end, I asked where they're hiding the ones without sprinkles since the girlfriend wanted to buy some. He said he got that one from somewhere different than what's in the case. (I get it, you make so many for business and so many for kids that you think might be in). He came back with one for my girlfriend and it made her day. We drove two and a half hours to make a funeral for 10am, so the day didn't start out the best. But Matt's small act of kindness made us smile. Matt definitely deserves a fist bump or something for going...
Read moreSeveral of us stopped in for a late lunch on a weekday while doing business in the area. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was in decent condition and somewhat clean. The restroom was decent and clean. The salad bar wasn’t necessarily kept stocked and clean though. The soups were watered down; the chili was mostly some sort of watery broth, though it smelled decent. The cream of broccoli was mostly milk and hardly had any broccoli in it. I’m not sure what the third soup was, but it looked too watered down too and only two of the three soup tops had knobs to open them, this definitely needs to be addressed! The salad bar had a lot of cross-contamination going on – Things from one container spilled into the container next to it and the tongs being down in the bowls, like with the lettuce, so the part of the tongs people touch are now touching the food – YUCK! Overall, I typically do like thee joints for the soup and salad, but this visit was disappointing. I’d still return in the future, maybe it was a one-off? Regardless, better oversight and...
