Ok I cannot begin to explain my level of disappointment. For someplace called the best burrito they only have like 7 burritos. We got 4 burritos and 4 drinks and it was almost $100. They weren't even really burritos! They gave us goop and layers a tortilla over it that disintegrated the moment we touched it. My shrimp tasted like it came in frozen, was boiled, put back in the freezer and got freezer burnt and was then boiled again. I've never had shrimp as tough as a bad steak before. I had onions in my burrito (Which I don't mind I like onions) but there were pieces bigger than my fork. The onions were not even cooked, they were still raw and only slightly warm. It felt like they just gave us 4 frozen dinner meals that they've had in the back since june. I would consider Taco Bell to be better Mexican food than here, and Taco Bell isn't real Mexican food. The atmosphere is just odd and the restaurant echos like a mf. There were only three tables that night and it sounded like a full house. The drinks (just plain sodas) were ridiculously expensive. No fountain drink should ever be more than $5. It was awful. It was not slightly good. It has been barred from ever being recommended in our house. The meal was only worth the ingredients since it obviously wasn't even cooked. And the ingredients tasted like they were all bought from the...
Read moreBest Burrito is one of the simplest and most reliable places in town. Their food is reliably fresh, authentic, and delicious for a great price. I am a big takeout diner, and even though Best Burrito (sadly) doesn't offer online ordering, they still seem to have the best takeout service in town, something that other restaurants should take note of. They prepare takeout super quickly and don't mess around when you come inside like some restaurants do. They ring you up really fast and you are in and out. The servers and manger are also extremely professional and friendly. The few times I have dined in the restaurant have been excellent.
The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is that they start offering online ordering, or at least put a menu online. I think they would get a lot more business if they advertised takeout more and put a menu up. There is only one other Mexican restaurant in town, but don't waste your time....Best Burrito is a million times better. I really recommend their Carne Asada Tacos. You can also tell a lot by a Mexican restaurant by how fresh their guacamole is (some Mexican restaurants even use FAKE guacamole - disgusting!), and Best Burrito passes with flying colors because their guacamole is super fresh and delicious. I definitely...
Read moreGranddaughter's dad ordered a lavish spread from Best Burrito to be catered for her birthday party. We'd never been so we popped in for lunch a week prior. I had the meatball soup, hunnybunny had steak tacos.
About the tacos: just steak and corn tortillas. Apparently, if you want the other adornments like cheese or Pico you should order the taco plate which comes with the fixin's. The steak meat has good flavor, but.. talk about dry and not very interesting. This was the only miss.
Everything else was very Very good..
Dad went all out for the party: steak or chicken fajitas, all the sides, chips with salsa. Guacamole to die for!
But the star of the appetizer bar was the Mexican shrimp cocktail. What a radical foodie experience this was! Large 21 to 25/lbs plump shrimp, exquisitely cooked, in a shrimp stock base with Pico de gallo, avocado chunks and seasonings. From young to old and all in between, a zesty and refreshing crowd pleaser. Add your own liquid heat and it's Fire! Man oh man.. so good!
I don't have photos.. was too focused on the food..
