Bank Shot Sports Bar — Restaurant in Hartford

I went in here with four of my friends about six months ago. I'm only doing this review now because Google asked how my experience was there. So me and my friends went in on a Wednesday for wings. Thought we could put up with the trashy atmosphere for some cheap wings. I went to the bar to order a drink while I waited for the last person on our group to show up took about 10 min to get the bartender to stop flirting with this group of guys. I asked for two beers one for me and one for my girlfriend she asked for my ID and for me to to get my girlfriends ID. My girlfriends ID happened to expire the week before with out realizing it. So she said she wouldn't serve her which wasn't even a big deal except how rude she was about it. Keep in mind I'm 24 and she is 23. So the last one in our group shows up and gets a beer then comes to our table to join us. The bartender then screams across the bar "she can not drink that!!" Totally embarrassing my girlfriend like she's underage or doing something wrong, when the beer wasn't even for her. I asked her what is your problem?! She then told us since it was 9:30 she isn't allowed in the bar after 10:00 . I asked for a manager she said she was. At this point I realize both bar tenders are completely drunk. Now she starts with personal insults and walks around the bar to get in my face and threaten me. Before anything gets physical we decided to leave. I asked her to close my card so she wouldn't be able to charge for more than what I bought after I left. She said no and got increasingly more confrontatational so we decided we would just leave and not close card. Both female bar tenders followed us out the door and even pushed my girlfriend out the door as we left. And even followed us into the street yelling more insults down the street and saying she's gonna call every bar in town and tell them not to serve us. We ended up going to Hanks and ended up having a good time with an awesome bar tender. I even tiped him 40 dollers because of how much better he was. A month later I get my bank statement in the mail. She charged me 45 dollers for literally one Miller. Don't EVER go here by far the worse service I have ever had...... And I make sure to tell this to everyone in Hartford area. The bartenders name...

I do not do any banking here, I have done a shot or two, but I still don't know why it's called "Bank Shots"...

It is a BIG room. With a BIG bar. And super-friendly, attentive bartenders who know why they're there, there. Nice, Diverse crowd. Random music by whoever's got some ish in the jukebox. -Download the "AMI" app, connect a payment method, and you're the DJ, playing tunes right from your phone.

They have one pool table which is sufficient - creates... competition for the table, it's fun.

There are more chairs than a... a.... And bar tables, and the bar is Heeuge. And I have seen it full to the brim, with peeps, doing what peeps do.

It is a good time and IS a Hartford staple owned by a real good and authentic man (altho his name escapes me). Now, I just can't remember if this is the message that is supposed to self-destruct, or if it's...

Went for my 50th birthday. Just wanted some good food. Bartender didn't have time to even greet us. At 3pm on a Thursday with about 5 customers. I understand that service the regulars first but to almost completely ignore new patrons is not acceptable. Waited a good ten minutes for her to finish her conversation before coming to ask what we wanted. Brought our drinks and menus and proceeded to forget about us. I ordered a Amaretto and 7up my favorite drink and couldn't even get it down it was absolutely horrible. After waiting another 10 minutes to order decide to leave. Go to the bar to pay was told 15.00 minimum for cards. Well if you had actually been helpful wouldn't have a problem. Absolutely do not recommend unless you are a...
