Convos Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hartford

They haven't been open long so the kitchen is still getting settled. The menu is not very broad or interesting yet. I was amazed there was no mention of vegetables and when the food arrived, there wasn't not nary a veggie on the plate. Like your old uncle made a plate while he was drinking. We had chicken and pork. Sides were plantains and rice n beans, plus a very hard brick of Mac n cheese. It was super warmed over and shouldn't have been warmed again to go on our plates. The chicken was great but the Mac was inedible.

Three in our group and we picked a Saturday night when there was a party on the opposite side of the restaurant. So the music was really loud and some of it was not dance type or fun at all. Overall, it was a good outing but we will wait a bit before returning for dinner to let the kitchen get their legs under them.

Me and BFF went to this bar for the first time. We had awesome time. Bar tender was excellent in service, food were on point. Bar tender Rachel, had such a great attitude. Our experience there was amazing. We have decided to make this our meeting spot. It's chill, in the corner, low key. I will say, to find the place was a little difficult the trees are hiding the sign. And the ones on the windows need a color that pops out. Other than that, great place to bring a first date. Let me say, service is top tier from the moment you pull up and have your door opened for you. Not only is the aesthetic beautiful but let’s get to what’s important… the food! Wow ! I got the lamp chops, Brussels and mashed potatoes and it came out hot, flavorful and delicious. The people were a vibe and it was nothing but good energy & good music.
