Main Wah Kitchen — Restaurant in Hartford

I went here for the first time a few nights ago . I placed a pick up order on the phone i wanted golden fingers but didn’t know how many came in a small order . The lady on the phone was rude and kept telling me she didn’t know . I still placed the order for golden fingers . Lady tells me it’ll be ready in 10 minutes but I arrived in 15 minutes expecting it to be ready. I get there to pay at the little window and I see her just dropping the golden fingers into the fryer . (It was only her working and the place looked like it barely got business anyway) She holds up her index finger and tells me one minute and picked up the phone , sneezing in the air without covering her mouth , she’s touching her hair and wiping whatever she had on her hands , onto her dirty clothes and continues to touch food without washing her hands . She finally comes over to the window and collect payment and I tell her I’m all set and walk out . My friend put me onto this place since it’s close to where I live but NEVER AGAIN! It’s very dirty and whoever the old lady with the short hair was doesn’t practice cleanliness at all . Save your money and go...

DON'T EAT HERE! To start, the food DID NOT TASTE GOOD AT ALL!

I order my food 45 minutes before work, with the intention of buying my food going into work. The woman told me my food will be ready in 10 minutes.

I came 20 minutes later to make sure that the food was ready, and I waited for 7 minutes with NO ONE IN LINE, before I was even acknowledged. When I was acknowledged, I told the elderly woman what I had ordered, and she charged my debit card.

Then she said something to the Cook in the back, and my food was started. When I noticed, I said I cannot wait because I cannot afford to be late for work. Please refund my money so I can leave. The lady told me one minute which turn into 8 minutes.

I was forced to wait and when I finally got my food, I asked if it was a vegetable roll rather than an egg roll, since I don't eat pork. The elderly lady slammed the cordless phone on the table, and started yelling and screaming at me. We had a shouting match. DON'T EAT HERE! NO RESPECT FOR YOUR...

Whenever frequenting their restaurant, my order is the same but the food is tasty. My only concern is on my last visit, the owners grandson was literally, lying on the counter playing. Before I left he moved to another section of the counter.

Not only is it unsanitary but also unsafe and an EYESORE!!! These types of behaviors are sometimes prevalent at inner city eating establishments. I hope that will be the last time! I need to find another...
