Aqui Me Quedo Restaurant II — Restaurant in Hartford

It's a very clean place, the staff is nice and so is the atmosphere, a good amount of seating, they have a bar that serves various beers and alcohol with a decent selection of spirits to chose from, it's family friendly and near downtown you may have to park and walk to the establishment because parking is small and mostly on the street, the food was good and the prices are great, the portions are large enough for 2 or more depending on how you eat, the restaurant has won many locals awards over the years and the have been in business for over tens the good is made to order nothing just sitting to be (eww) reheated the customer service was excellent. Again, the place was very clean, good lighting and the music made me dance the atmosphere is a "great vibe" I will be back to try more menu items as soon as possible. They have desserts that looks made in house but I didn't try any because I wasn't in the mood but the rice and bean plus the fried chicken was very good, it taste and felt like comfort food......

Be careful to ask for the menu with the prices before you order - their current prices do not match the prices on their website and the menu they give you at the table has no prices on it. We ordered a couple appetizers and it should have cost $9. They charged us $20 on the bill and when we questioned it, the waitress said “Well I gave you more than $20 worth of food. I didn’t know what to charge you so I just made up a number.” We showed her the prices on the website and she went to get a printed menu which had much higher prices. It still didn’t add up to $20 so I questioned it and she said “I gave you larger portions.” It was only a few dollars so we just paid the bill and left, but we will not go back here or recommend...

The food is actually delicious, but for a large meal, I got two small pieces of stewed chicken, literally the size of a ping pong ball, for close to $20! I don't care. HOW GOOD you think your food is. There is NO EXCUSE for stealing from customers by overcharging. If you didn't have enough for a large portion, you should have refunded me. But this was my second visit. I know the first time visit, I was given several pieces of chicken, and I know this visit, I was given two tiny pieces that didn't even equal the size of a large egg.
