PLEASE READ! THIS IS SHOCKING BEHAVIOR!
When I visited this McDonald's location on Flatbush Ave in Hartford, I had just placed my order for a single iced coffee when I had noticed a homeless guy with a sign standing by the drive-thru. Being fortunate, yet realizing I didn't have any cash in my car to give him, I rolled down my window and asked if he would like me to purchase him a MCD gift card. He replied that he would really appreciate that. I told the homeless man to meet me at the last window.
I then proceeded to the first window, where I gave the employee my credit card and asked if he could add a $10 MCD gift card to the order. He immediately told me that he was too busy to do so. I then explained the situation and that I was buying it for the homeless man. The cashier asked the manager over the headset and once again said no. I couldn't believe what I had just heard and was now visibly upset.
At the second window, I asked the woman who gave me my coffee politely once again if I could purchase a gift card for the man. She asked the manager who once again denied my request, citing that they now "did not have any." MCD Corporate MUST review this...

I was right outside ordering so I figured I’d go inside and check if the order went through , upon going inside the “Manager” MARIA was very very rude. Tried blaming me and my bank for the mishap even though it was THEIR APP that took my payment . They received my order and she even read it back to me! But told me it wasn’t charged on her end but yet the money was taken out of my account already , she caught an attitude and once me and my husband asked for her name she got very defensive.. on our way out I heard her saying in Spanish to CANCEL the mobile order (I Speak Spanish) and sure enough when I got home my money had been REFUNDED there for she received order AND payment but just didn’t feel like serving us . Went to the front , a young cashier by the name Jacklyn ( that’s the employee name from what the manager told me ) told me they didn’t have coffee . So I said ok so make a fresh batch , she said she couldn’t because the coffee makers were off BUT if I wanted coffee she can give me this morning coffee . I ask for the manager not once not twice but three times and all three times she tried talking over me . Finally after several attempts she gets the manager .
