On September 24, 2025, at approximately 1:13 p.m., I shopped at your Aldi location at 511 New Park Avenue (Store #69). I had a full cart of groceries and switched into a newly opened register line. The cashier, identified on my receipt as Milagros S., immediately displayed an unprofessional attitude. She snapped at me to begin unloading faster and move my cart closer, repeating these instructions in an abrupt and discourteous manner. Despite my cooperation, she continued to be impatient and muttered under her breath, clearly expressing frustration with the line.
Her demeanor changed completely when addressing the customer behind me, to whom she was polite and even addressed as “sir.” In contrast, she barked my total at me without courtesy and pushed my cart away from the register, forcing me to catch it before it rolled further. Throughout the transaction, her behavior was dismissive, disrespectful, and uncalled for.
As a longtime Aldi customer, I was extremely disappointed. While I recognize that employees face busy and stressful moments, professionalism and courtesy should never be set aside. I respectfully request that corrective action be taken, including a reprimand and retraining on customer communication and service expectations.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust appropriate steps will be taken to ensure that no other customers have a similar experience.
Sincerely, Tyrell...
Read moreALDI offers very low price generic versions of common grocery store Staples. These are the same as name brands you would find elsewhere but just packaged as an ALDI house brand. Especially good for things that are typically expensive in the supermarket but too perishable to buy in bulk from Costco. E.g., guacamole, cured meats (salami, pepperoni, etc.), prepared breads like bagels and English muffins (99¢!), Hummus. These options are almost universally cheaper than competitive stores, including Trader Joe's. Unfortunately, you give up some presentation and convenience to make up for the cost savings. Carts require depositing a quarter, you need to use your own bags, and it is staffed by a skeleton crew of only a few people. Aisles are not obviously labeled and it can be difficult to find what you need at times. Check out typically has long lines because only a few are running. You need to bring your own bags because they don't offer them or if they do they cost money. You do the bagging yourself which can slow down the lines. They do accept all credit cards. No beer or wine offered at this location. Better customer service at check out lines would earn...
Read moreGreat prices! Save lots of money and get lots of groceries however today @ W. Htfd location male manager- Mike/Randy? Idk his name but he had black hair. Anyway he racially profiled me and stood over my cashier for no reason and stared me down as I rang up all of my groceries $130. Then he took my receipt in back office and the cashier left too. Then as I was exiting he decided to rush by me so he could out of the store first. This is the second time I have had issues with this store and I'm sick of it. The first time one of the cashiers yelled at me and loudly announced my method of payment to the entire store ("Are you paying with XYZ!') because I was having trouble finding my card in my bag to pay for the items. This Aldi's staff needs some racial sensitivity training. Stop following people in the store and treating your customers like 2nd class...
