Yummy Yummy Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Hartford

Terrible terrible terrible customer service. Uber eats placed my location near this restaraunt whilst I was actually in DC and when I realised the mistake (literally 5 seconds after ordering) I immediately called the restaraunt to cancel. They said I must call Uber so I did so. Uber then contacted the restaraunt to see if they’d begun making the order and they said they had. So clearly they went ahead with the preparation of the food regardless of me asking them not to and as a result I paid for a full order of food to be delivered to a building 5 hours away from me. Absolutely disgusting way to do business. They had the opportunity to do the right thing and not make the food, tell Uber that was the case and allow my refund to go through but instead they did what they could to ensure any money they could scrape from the wallet of someone who fell victim to the gps system on the Uber eats app. I should say that the 1 star is reflective of both the restaraunt on the Uber eats app but I can’t be bothered writing two reviews. Ordered here sat night delivery driver called me saying he was outside but he was not. I tried to ask where he was and he just kept yelling 240 240. That number has no relevance to my address. I tried to give him directions but he hung up on me. I called the restaurant to let them know and ask them to call and give him directions. 10 mins later no one has called me so I call the restaurant back she says she called him...10 mins later he calls again yelling come outside come outside..i told him i did not see him outside and where was he he started screaming 91 91 91 I said I have no idea what that meant he needed to tell me where he was he started cursing at me and hung up. I called the restaurant back and they asked why couldn't i meet him outside well bc hes not outside I have no idea where he is and when I ask he just yells at me and then started cursing she told me I would just have to cancel the order. So I never got any food and Im waiting for them to refund my card....

I've never rated anything with a single star, but I was hung up on twice when I called to order and then again when I called to pay because I was not asked over the phone if my order which was for delivery was to be paid for in cash or card. The only reason I'm even giving them a review was because it was so bad. The only light at the end of the tunnel I can see is that the delivery driver was very very nice. Whereas the woman over the phone was terribly aggressive and rude. Who hangs up on customers? The soup smelled bad and tasted unfortunate, the crab rangoons were small and in the wrong wrapper which made them too crispy and essentially not what the name implies. I haven't even tried the main dishes and am now afraid to after reading the reviews about the unsanitary nature of the establishment. I deeply regret not reading the reviews prior to ordering from here, it was a mistake I paid way too much money for and advise anyone looking to eat here to try...
