I ordered honey krack wings, jerk chicken empanadas, salmon hibachi fried rice and banana pudding. The wings were well seasoned and the honey krack sauce with flavorful, the jerk chicken empanadas were good and a nice variation of standard empanada. The hibachi rice fell a little flat for me. It did not have that " hibachi" flavor rather, it tasted like regular rice with soy sauce and vegetables added. There also was not much salmon. For the price I expected a little more meat. Support local businesses!!!! Growing up in the southend of hartford we dont have much cuisine of this nature, and as a first timer at this restaurant I can truly say this was a 5 star experience. The chicken chopped cheese is a must try, you can tell it is made with a chef’s touch, with a delectable flavor profile. The fried rice stands against the best in the hartford area, and the jerk and cheese empanada was delicious. All the food was prepared quickly but with no sacrifice to quality. My husband and I were passing by, and decided to stop for some food. Just A Twist was definitely interesting enough to make us stop! And I will say they did not disappoint us. In fact, I'm sitting here just in awe of how perfect everything was. The sweet potato fries were delightfully sweet but not too sweet! The Lobster Fried Rice was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The chopped salmon sub was amazing, and I would sell my absolute soul for this sandwich. The chicken & cheese empanadas with the honey krack sauce is literally everything I could have asked for. Savory, Sweet, and spicey.
