Gather Together Cafe is my favorite spot in Woodsville and they serve my all-time favorite breakfast. I simply love to get the tartine on a Saturday morning - it's delicious and filling with garlicky roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, and runny eggs on toast - you really have to try it. Served with a little yogurt, berry, and and granola "chaser", which is so cute and a nice bit of sweetness. I pretty much go to Gather Together Cafe at least once a week to get this breakfast with a hot mocha latte.
I brought my brother here once when he was visiting, and he said that the breakfast burrito is "the best he ever had", but I still haven't tried it. I can't get past the tartine. :)
It's also a kid-friendly place, with a few toys to occupy young kids. My two-year old loves to get a waffle (they're always willing to make a toddler-sized portion for us), but sometimes his preference is the kid's cheesy eggs or the muffin.
Lunches are delicious too - a great selection of crunchy salads and fresh sandwiches. Baked goods are an always changing, tasty variety. Take-out heat and serve meals are also a rotating variety (my favorite so far was the spicy lasagne or maybe the seafood-stuffed haddock) - we've been surviving this pandemic on these also about once a week. :)
There's also an ice cream window in summer with super fun flavors!

The two amazing owners run the place by themselves, but you would think it is run by a whole crew of people based on the size of the menu, the cleanliness, and quick service.
They serve breakfast, lunch, FUDGE, all different kinds of coffee, lattes, you name it.
We went during the 12 o clock rush on a Friday.
I got the chocolate orange fudge which was amazing. If you like Terry's chocolate oranges, you'll love that fudge!
For my main meal, I got the house smoked brisket with caramelized onion, cheddar, garlic aioli on a Portuguese roll (pictured). It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life.. and I'm not even a brisket guy. The sandwich also came with some ridged potato chips and a pickle spear.
Aside from the amazing food, the atmosphere and service was so amazing. The owners make you feel at home and value your opinion. The decor and lighting makes it feel very lively. They have an adorable little dog who makes an appearance every so often as you eat, then wanders out back lol.
This quaint cafe is a must-try if you're...
Read moreI was unexpectedly in the area with my husband, and he picked out this cafe to go to, and I'm so glad he did! The cafe is very cute, with all kinds of eating areas: outside tables, quaint hidden away areas in the back, and normal type seating in the front.
They had so many latte flavors, even sugar free ones, so I was very happy! The baked goods all looked amazing, but I settled on the pineapple coconut muffin, because it was such a unique flavor, and it was amazing! The muffin quality was just the right amount of sweet, and fluffy, and there was real pineapple and coconut in it.
The lattes we got were a VERY generous size, and we were still able to get real mugs, because they were like little vats with handles, which I LOVED!
I wish I had been more hungry because there were so many things I wanted to try like the fudge (they had chocolate orange, which is like my favorite flavor combo, ever), and all kinds of lunch items, baked goods, and eve to-go meals!
The staff are all lovely and friendly, and attentive. I hope I find myself back in the area again so I can...
