Firstly, did not provide a ton of details for my cake, however, I was a little surprised there was no follow-up to ask about colors, frosting flavor, etc. I still went ahead and ordered so that is on me, but I do think a business should follow-up with those questions. Especially because I was not aware there would be frosting inside the cake.

Secondly, upon first glance the cake looked nice but I realized when I got home that it was poorly decorated. Her cookies look nice from the photos but this cake was not up to the same standard (smudges, lines uneven). The cake was dense and dry and had tons of frosting in the middle like I stated. For $80, I expected a higher quality, especially with all these amazing reviews. But it seems she specializes more in cookies.

Finally, she was not rude at all, but I found it a little surprising when she called me at 4:30 pm saying she had to leave so when was I going to be there. I had told her I got out of work at 4 pm and would be there at 4:30 pm. I got there at 4:45 pm and did not think this would be an issue as it states they are open until 5 pm. I even called to let her know but could not get through.

This is a tough one to write. My daughter-in-law's grandfather died suddenly during covid, and her extremely close-knit family was understandably devastated. They're all near Andover and I'm in NY and because of the quarantines in place back then, I couldn't attend the wake or funeral.

I looked online to try to find something I could send other than flowers and I came across Rachel's shop.

Not only did Rachel offer a variety of options for baked goods, she worked with me to be sure they would be delivered to the family on time. And when she heard about the circumstances, she offered her services (totally separate and apart from her bakery business) for absolutely ANYTHING I might need, since I was so far away and didn't know any of the service providers in the area.

I will never forget her kindness (I'm tearing up now just thinking about it).

PLUS the brownies she made were a hit.

Sometimes it's not just the product, but the people behind it that make a business successful -- Rachel deserves to be a HUGE success.

Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with when it came to creating the cake and cupcakes for our wedding!

My wife and I had a difficult time finding a baker that could make a gluten free cake other than chocolate and vanilla. We told Rachel our concerns and she was able to offer us a gf spice cake that was delicious! We also had a custom request that our 3 cats were added on top with their paw prints running up the side and she pulled it off without a hitch.

For cupcakes we ordered GF Spice Cake and the Cookie Dough Cake flavors and they were a hit. A handful of our guests noted that they were some of the best cupcakes they ever had.
