I don’t write many reviews; but, felt the need to spread the word about this place. It was one of the most different, clean, fun, and accommodating place I’ve been to here in the border MA/NH cities for a chill evening with a small group of 7 friends to catch up after not getting together too much. (I grabbed the names of those we came into contact with afterwards) When we walked in, we were greeted by Molly helped our check in process and answered a few questions we had. We were able to head over to the bar and grab a few rounds from Julie who was very attentive and quick with our orders. From there we were led over to our axe coach, Opie, who legit looked like someone who could teach you how to throw an axe. We had never thrown axes and found Opie to be very clear, helpful, and instrumental for pretty much all of us at least getting a few bullseyes a piece! He made us feel comfortable, made us laugh, and part of the WICKED AXE family! A final single elimination allowed for bragging rights of being the best axe throwing champ in our party! Opie was pretty cool and offered our group to take a group photo letting Sarah, the victor, hold up high this huge battle axe which was a cool picture for us! After that, having such a fun time - we decided to stay longer and ordered a few pizzas which were pretty awesome! They have these lounge areas where 6-8 people can gather, drink, eat, and allow for us to catch up. There were pool, ping pong, bean bag, darts, and this pretty sweet golf simulator that we were able to take part of. All in all, we are all planning to come back and have told our other friends about this...
Read moreIf I could write 20 pages worth of compliments, accolades, thank you’s and talking about all the great things Wicked Axe, specifically Amanda, did for my fiancée’s 40th Surprise Birthday party I would but I don’t have the time and you wouldn’t read it.
I will sum it up like this: if you are looking for a fun place to throw an event or just a great place to go to be with friends and family you would be doing yourself a favor by going to Wicked Axe! Big shoutout to Amanda- who is the coordinator that held my hand with figuring out all the fine details. When it comes to parties, I am a typical guy and know very little about what I’m doing. If I didn’t have Amanda, it would not have been the amazing party that it turned out to be. Even with all the messages I sent her, she never made me feel bad for all the questions I asked her. Her only focus was to do everything in her power to make my lady feel special on her night!
Seriously, if you are thinking about throwing a party or having an event and you live in New England or are visiting New England, you will not regret having Wicked Axe host it. Thank you to the entire staff for being courteous and attentive. Also to the members that helped set up the decorations beforehand.
Lastly, a big heartfelt thank you to Amanda- who is the reason why I ended up feeling really good about my decision booking the birthday party at Wicked Axe. I appreciate everything and look forward to returning...
Read moreThese guys listed themselves on here while we were still renovating the building for them before they opened. They then paid all of us to leave positive reviews before they even opened - a doubly illicit practice on this platform. They stopped paying members of their staff and crew, so after a month we all left. A few of us came back as patrons after the second Grand Opening to see how things ended up (the first grand opening in November had gone poorly as the bar didn’t have electricity yet).
On our return after they opened, the owners were drinking on the job (didn’t even recognize us) and making racial comments about their kitchen staff. We watched them disrespect an African American patron who ended up leaving in disgust. After that I changed this review to one star, and the owner gave the incredibly condescending reply you see below - but not before repeatedly threatening me and calling my past and present workplaces to harass my other employers. A quick glance at all the reviews and their responses on here will tell you what kind of people these are.
0/10, steer clear of these unhealthy and unethical folks. To scratch the axe throwing itch in MA, I recommend Revolution Axe in Everett or Urban Axes...
