Beware, the pineapple juice is from the can. We went out of our way for this place because based on the photos and the advertising, it seemed like they used real fruit in their drinks. All I’ve wanted since I got here was some cold, fresh pineapple juice. I ended up ordering a 2nd juice as well with lemonade, mint and cucumber. This juice was obviously fresh and pulpy and looked (was) delicious where as the pineapple juice was flat and kind of orange. It wasn’t until we got to the car and I took a sip that I realized it was canned. I had to turn around and go ask for a refund. Luckily they were very nice about it and stayed professional but I just feel like they should notify the customers of this. People know the difference between fresh and metal taste and it was disappointing to pay $14 for 20oz of metal pineapple juice (you can go to the store and buy 48oz of it for $7 so I felt completely ripped off and quite offended actually that they would do that to someone. The panini, salad, açaí bowl and other juice...

The açaí bowls were mediocre, at best. The sandwiches were way too heavy - nothing healthy about them.
Worst of all? The service. In particular, an employee named Mai.
My family and I were renting a home in Mauna Lani and we ordered quite a few açaí bowls and sandwiches to go. They had run out of lids, so left the heaping açaí bowls open. When I asked for a solution (ie: larger container perhaps?), Mai behaved like a petulant child - throwing larger containers on the counter and stating I could transfer them myself.
Her coworker apologized and came up with a real solution (Saran wrapping the bowls). Unfortunately, it was this particular young ladies' last day.
Too bad, as keeping employees like Mai around will surely be the demise of this business. She is unpleasant, rude, and has a miserable attitude.
Do yourself a favor and order your açaí bowls and juices directly at the Mauni Lani Resort. Not only are they far superior, but the employees are great and appreciative of...
Read moreCame here because I thought I was going to get a delicious açaí bowl and vegan food. I thought wrong, apparently. The açaí bowls come with yogurt by default and had to ask them to not add it. Seriously? Who puts Greek yogurt in an açaí bowl? It was extremely subpar and I have had better bowls in Kona which don’t use prepare Costco Açaí sorbet. I also ordered a veggie bagel. Well, that was an embarrassing disappointment. They literally gave me a box with all the ingredients (from Costco btw) to assemble myself…. why am I paying over $10 for this? They didn’t put any effort into any of their food. The people working there didn’t even know what vegan was. The employee tried offering me a tuna salad, which is obviously not vegan. How do you not know what vegan is and this is supposed to be a “healthy” establishment? If you’re vegan, do not waste your time by going here. Y’all need to step up and do better with your food and stop cutting...
