Mauna Lani Coffee Company — Restaurant in Hawaii

This place has the best atmosphere you could have in a coffee shop. If you been to Starbucks. You will never want to go back. The food is amazing and always fresh. FRESH! Starbucks has so much trash waste because it's all processed frozen food. I see the employees make me food from scratch!! Amazing!!! Kua Swell bubble drink so freaking good. The service is unbelievably considerate and nice. They would even answer questions outside of Coffee. Very informative. I got there pretty late and I was having a good drink and food to eat. Apparently food ended 20 minutes after I got my food. I came back to get another drink. It then got ruined by a really rude customer... I asked him about his intel hat because I really wanted one like that! He told me "find it yourself, I work for intel." I was like uh ok it was just a question. He then proceeded to harass the employees! Like dude why are you yelling at the people who make your food? The sign clearly says closing at 4pm. The way the lady worker didn't raise her voice and tried to help with all his concerns while he was snapping at her was beyond comprehension. How did she have the patience for him? I had to speak up and explain to him "they are closing up so some things are closed, for someone who works at intel how can you not process that?" He then made more things to complain about. The umbrellas was one of them. They didn't even buy anything and didn't even sit outside... they were at this point loitering.. I was able to look up who this guy was.. apparently a mean doctor and a teacher. A lot of people talk about how rude he is to his employees and students. I believe them. He made my drink sour but honestly other than that weird encounter.. I'm going to complain to the intel higher ups about this guy since I work with Microsoft. Thank you Mauna lani for your...

Very slow which I was able to forgive given I know it is very busy this time of year and they are short-staffed. What got it the two star review was the online ordering system. I placed an order of pastries and coffee for my family thinking it would be easier and my two young children and I could walk over and it would be ready. Got there and apparently they had canceled the entire order because they didn't have one thing. They could have at least filled part of the order and refunded the rest. I have a feeling that a lot of their food items they didn't actually carry as listed in the website. I don't think this business can handle an online ordering system for food right now. Maybe coffee. We walked over and got food at the grocery store instead. Now, hopefully, I don't get...

The Mauna Lani coffee shop makes good coffee and the food offerings are Ok as well. The service we’ve received is friendly. I have no complaints about the products or service. However, I’ve deducted stars because of the unbelievably outrageous prices charged at this shop. I don’t know if the rents at the Shops at Mauna Lani are excessive - causing tenants to charge excessive prices for their products, or whether the owners of the shop are taking excessive profits… but never have I seen prices like these anywhere for coffee. I just can’t believe that this business needs to charge the prices they do. It seems like just plain price-gauging. I won’t be back. Starbucks at Waikoloa Beach Resort seems like a bargain...
