Fat Moes — Restaurant in Hawthorne

I really dont get how this place has so many reviews. Me and my gf went in and ordered a chicken platter w rice. The girl was kinda snooty and when we got home to eat...there was really no food. We were both left way unsatisfied. 14 dollars for a little bit of rice, HALF a pita and 5 pieces of little cut up chicken. Bland as hell too. I really dont get the concept of this? If you actually give a little more rice and maybe some more chicken which really isnt costing you much, i bet your customers will come back for more. Rice is cheap, atleast give a good amount? Theres a place called gyro grill in wayne, same price and double the food..go there.

Also, why are you blasting music like its the club? Couldnt even have a conversation over the music. Sorry youre not at home, this...

NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY I ordered through uber eats where the restaurant is labeled as allergy friendly. I have celiac, so we called the restaurant before placing to order to notify and tell them they could not put pita in or near our order because of severe allergy. we also specified it in the allergy section and notes section of uber eats. the order arrived with pita in both platters even after all of our efforts so we were not able to eat any of it. So, if you have any life threatening allergies do not order from here. The restaurant was kind enough to refund our order...

Been around this cuisine my whole life and I have to say Fat Moe's legitimately delivers home cooked quality food. Definitely some modern American twists on some of the menu items but that makes it unique. Everytime I've been my man Junior has made the food TO ORDER, nothing sitting around and well worth the short wait, he knows what he's doing. Can't recommend the beef shawarma enough, but everything I have tried has been on point. Real great Mediterranean food hiding in Hawthorne, puts most places around here to...
