Arby's — Restaurant in Hayti

Definitely pocketing money - never post reviews but this was bad. Gentleman behind the counter made us stand there between each request while he rolled his eyes and huffed even though we were polite and said please and thank you to everything. Told him the machine said loading when trying to pay and never gave total when he told me to swipe my card. Swiped and told him again, and he snatched it from me and tried like three times before he listened to someone else that it was broken. Then he transferred our order to other register and proceeded to remove our free water cups for ice from our order and charged us $5-6 for drinks we didn’t get. Then I payed with a gift card which left $3.57 on our bill. I handed him a $5 and he typed in $4 and gave me $.43 back. We were going to just leave it until we tried two ice machines that both didn’t have ice. So we politely asked a girl behind the counter for ice and said sorry for the confusion. Then proceeded to ask her to fix the mistakes, which had taken our bill from about $8 to about $15. The manager fixed it but was not much better. Definitely a negative experience and likely happens to a lot of people traveling through where they are either overcharging...

Service was so slow that I never even ordered. Myself and two other people left because we were waiting over 15 minutes to order. The staff never made an attempt to even acknowledge the wait by greeting any of us or letting us know how much longer it might be. Also, when an order for gentleman with 3 small children was ready the lady behind the counter wasn't even cognitive enough to bring the food to the side of the counter he was waiting at. She dropped it at the opposite end and made him squeeze between the 6 people in line and he became separated from his children so he had to round them up in the end. Additionally, he had to remind them he was never given his drinks. As a truck driver I drive through here quite often but I'll never again make an attempt...

Well I must say, these reviews had me checking out Doordash. I was a bit skeptical about going in to this Arby's. I walked in and it was pretty clean and organized. Honestly, I don't blame them for not putting napkins by the beverage machine. People and their kids waist them. They do make sure they put enough in the bag with your food. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich (1st time trying it), it was hot and fresh. The bread was fresh and my curly fries were hot and fresh too. OMG...the strawberry lemonade is to die for. I love a good lemonade. Not all lemonades are up to par. Even the staff were pleasant and professional...for young people. At least they are working and not out here getting in trouble.
