Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Hazel Park

So I just ordered 2 sandwiches from here, a classic Italian and a chicken parmesan. I asked them TWICE to make sure that they grilled the bread for my sandwiches, just like they do at Subway. I could overhear them saying something about my request, but I couldn't quite catch it over the t.v. When the guy told me I was all set, I chose to actually believe him so I grabbed my food and left. This is why you always check your food before you just take it. When I got home and opened them, NEITHER one of my sandwiches was grilled. Why the hell would you do that? Why wouldn't you just tell me that you aren't going to grill my bread? No harm done, I'll just go to Subway. But no, they made me think that they had fulfilled my very simple request, and then sent me on my way. If that wasn't enough, the chicken parm I ordered didn't have chicken in it, and it tasted like a ground-up meatball sub. I can honestly say I am disappointed and will not be returning here. I just moved to Hazel Park and I wanted to give every restaurant I could a chance, and I've given this one many chances. This was your last one. Hopefully you guys will learn from all these mistakes and one day you'll be a real preferred alternative to Subway...

If I could rate this a zero I would. Couple weeks ago walked in and ordered a sub the place smelled so bad I almost left. Thought it may be a fluke. Went in today and the same thing, it smells like something went bad in there and they cant find the reason. I was crunched for time so I decided to just deal with it and order anyway. After I paid and waiting for my order I caught out of the corner of my eye the cook wiping his nose with his hand (gloves on). Thought to myself no way... but he did it again! this is not just a scratch to the nose. This was from the hand down the arm! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I asked the cashier to refund my money and the reason behind it and left. A year or two ago this place used to be nice. There was a guy that was always there who knew you and knew your order and made you feel welcomed. I thought he was the owner or manager, but what happened? There's a note on the door saying that they will be closed for remodeling, but honestly this place should just be closed for good. I...

I will only go to this hubby's during the day. The day crew takes pride in the products they serve and they pay attention to the customers. The night crew on the other hand isn't very good, they're loud and clowning around with eachother the subs I had from the night crew were thrown together and extremely soggy. When I tried to unwrap them they stuck to the paper and literally pulled apart leaving a mess. We ate them with a fork because there was no way to hold a pile of ingredients on the paper. We'll never go back when the night clowns are there. I live about 1 mile from the place so for those that say I left them in the wrapper to long ,...
