Chester's Chicken — Restaurant in Hazen

Stopped tonight 11/8/25 to grab dinner. One of the employees appeared to possibly be under the influence of something. Eyes were barely open, speech was fast and not making sense, he also forgot what we ordered multiple times. He was rambling about needing to get out of here and go on a smoke break. He shorted us a few pieces of chicken, before he took off for break, and the other guy working made sure we got the right amount, even gave a couple extra as he was apologizing for his coworkers behavior. We got our food, sat at a table. The mac and cheese was inedible, cold, and not fresh at all, the potato wedges were cold, and tasted old. The chicken was the worst, half was burnt/over cooked and the other half was not cooked all the way, with red/bloody meat and bone. While we sat and ate we also observed the same employee who wanted a smoke break touching product and utensils with bare hands after touching his visor and rubbing the back of his head and not washing his hands after he came back inside. He didn't put gloves on at all. Also set the tongs, on top of the display case where the chicken boxes are out in the open. Absolutely disappointed, we felt bad for the one employee who kept apologizing...

Honestly I probably will never goto a Chester's again it was that disgusting. This tarnished their brand badly. I will post my experience on yelp and Google as well to make sure others do not waste their money like I did. Homeless shelter food would be better. Your franchise teams should have quality control at the top of your list or you will go out of business. Just being honest and transparent it takes alot for me to take action and message corporate. I don't want reimbursement or a free anything because I am scared your food you represent may give food poisoning or hurt someone because I guarantee if the food looks like that nobody is cleaning correctly. Too bad I can't give negative stars doesn't deserve...

This is my first and last stop a Chester's 🐔. The chinken in compared to all the other chicken chains is absolutely bottom of the list. Not hot, very greasy breading was barely passable. There was a odd not pleasant flavor. Not real strong but not for me. The biscuits were under baked smeared with oil and then topped with corn syrup. I saved my side of green beans for last. They were god awful. Some play on souther style green beans. BIG FAIL. They were the last thing I tried to eat so the topped off the chicken biscuit in the garbage can. I now have a second thing to to tell people I don't like to go with okra....
