Absolutely horrible service. I purchased Avery labels from staples and proceeded to have them printed on in store. An associate printed my first 200 labels smoothly. I’ve printed on Avery labels in multiple staples stores and never had a problem until the next day I go back to print a few more. I run into an employee who insists that he cannot do so due to the paper potentially damaging the printers. I leave and contact staples through their online chat. The associate confirms that I indeed can print on these labels in store. I go back the next day. Long behold, I run into the same employee who told me I could not do so the first time around. I show him the screenshot of the chat I had with the online associate. Not good enough. He tells me his supervisor has told him he cannot do so on this paper. I speak to the manager who says she cannot override the employee’s stance. I leave but I was told to come back because the first employee who successfully helped me may have more knowledge with the printers. I go back today. An older associate decides to help me. As he’s looking at my email with the attachments I sent in, he makes a phone call and I hear him say “yeah she’s here.” I’m standing right behind the counter. It’s nice to know that in case I came back, someone would be called to be notified of my presence. He tells me I was already informed about this issue and that I cannot print on these labels. Long story short, I leave and call customer service. First associate tells me, “yes there should be no problem printing on that paper.” He then transfers me to the printing and marketing department. I speak with another associate who also apologizes, proceeds to ALSO look up my Avery template numbers and too confirms that this paper can absolutely be printed on. She decides to escalate this and connects me with Joe. Joe apologizes only to tell me that they will consider my feedback but if that is what the store’s supervisor is saying, then that is what it is. So you’re telling me I’ve spoken to 3 different associates who confirmed that I can print on this paper and have successfully done so even 3 days ago but at the end of the day this is a store by store policy? Ultimately, this was disappointing and simply unprofessional. Have one store policy and stick with it to avoid any confusion and/or...
Read moreCorey saved my a$$, big time! I sent two poster foam boards that I need for a big presentation to the Sea Girt Staples at 8:15 Wednesday night. I immediately called them to explain that I needed to pick them up by 4pm the next day (the website said 8pm). The woman at the sea girt store told me to call back in the morning to let them know I needed it earlier than 8. When I called the next day at 8:30 AM the lady who I spoke to told me that there was no way she could guarantee it by 4 because it was a time consuming item. I begged and pleaded with her and offered to pay a rush fee and she just said sorry, can’t guarantee anything. Being that my work presentation to the town was at 6 I couldn’t take the chance. I suddenly remembered that the last time I used the Hazlet staples for a print projects they were super helpful so on a Hail Mary I gave it a shot and called them. I spoke to Corey who couldn’t have been more understanding or pleasant. He assured me they could have it ready for pickup by 4 (disclosure: there was a rush fee but I was happy to pay it as long as I could get my boards before 4) Additionally, once it was ready he even took the extra step to call us directly to let us know it was done. 10 out of 10 recommend this store for all your print and marketing needs. Thank you so much Corey! (Side note: when I called back sea girt to cancel the order I spoke to the same woman who I had just spoken to 5 minutes before and she told me she already started on my project and it’d be ready by 1. Unbelievable! I told her to throw it out because she refused to guarantee it’d be ready when I spoke to her earlier so I was using hazlet staples instead. So annoying because I would have been happy to use sea girt if they would have just told me it’d be ready on time instead of...
